Give In

I have fallen asleep
beneath the creak of
floorboards and crashing doors,
the world of mirrors
and smoke, and broken into a
disillusion.
I have met God,
or whatever odd name we
may have called him,
and he has agreed to
lay with me in
disillumination.
Eyes closed,
we donned our smiles and
sank sweetly into satisfaction.
In an embrace, we prayed
that we not awaken
before the planet's cave-in,
the judgment and elimination,
or the armageddon.
