Dreamer

She floats on dreams

In peaceful skies

Dances through space

Forgets her cries

She swims through pools

Of happy tales

And forgets that world

Where everything fails

She hides from reality

Creates her own law

Hiding from those days

Where she cried on the floor

She loves and she wanders

But only in dreams

Lost from the real world

And its painful themes

And so through all the days,

And throughout every night

She dreams and imagines

And lets her heart take flight

So for now consider this:

Should we stifle a hopeful sigh

Pull her back and refuse

to let her fantasies fly?

Would you keep her from the sky?

When you cannot even protect

Her from this concrete ground?

Tear down the walls you want to erect

And let her soar
