A girl with long dark hair walked down a long shadowed alleyway, neck craned slightly so that she could see the smoke from factories and recent cigarettes create a musky blanket filling the once clear night sky. It was to be expected. No light shines in the darkest part of town. All around buildings stood ablaze, and she could taste the toxic chemicals from nearby factories as workers worked late into the night. They always worked, creating the weapons of mass destruction which was the new boom this century.

The girl could hear hoon cars as they roared past on the main road behind her, radios cranked up to the max, and the yells and screams of delight as another fire was lit up. The girl's feet were slowly trembling beneath her weight and she could feel her eyelids slowly get heavier and heavier. She had been walking for hours and she had no shoes, her once smooth baby-like skin now rough and sore. She had to find them.

The girl's name is Ava Judean and she's 16 years old, 5 foot and 7 inches, blood type A positive. Her stomach growled hungrily and she swore softly remembering how only a few hours before she had forced down a petty meal and ran away from home. It had been 4 hours and 30 minutes since she had last seen her parents. Since before she was born they had been at war and still are. The humans had a motto, "Remove the problem from the face of the earth. Send the monsters back to hell". Ava shivered. She didn't like violence. She wasn't like her parents. She never, ever wanted to be like them. She had left them for this reason. Left all of them. From now on she would join those that were few in number. Those who are more human than those who call themselves human, and she had come to the right side of town to find them...
