You Have Got To Believe

I cannot look anywhere without seeing him,
There is nowhere left to gaze.

Words, held as much for him as for me,
They play on the tip of his enchanting smile.

Those malleable lips,
Those hardened eyes,
Those warm cheeks,
Those callused hands.

Lost to the darkest of nights,
While they search for the rays of the sun.

Dreaming awake.

Softness overcomes strength,
In the ethereal light of his dawn.

Caught in the champagne rain,
He takes me in his relentless arms.

Coloured like the newborn sky,
The secrets sorted from the lies.

He is hidden far away.

I cannot look anywhere without seeing him,
There is nowhere left to gaze.

But I still can never look him in the eye.
