Sticks and stones, these bones have seen

Words that burn and hearts gone cold

I know you'd cut me if only you could

But your helplessness makes you bold

You crow so I can hear you

You pose like it's all figured out

You stand tall like I'd never reach you

You think it's safe to run your mouth

But beware the dirt scattered at your feet

Be fearful of the seeds you sew

Your prey is not a willing victim

And she won't be trodden low

The words you spread, the hate you feed

The lies, they sing you to sleep

There's poison in the water you drink

There's pain in the harvest you reap

So go on and slander me loudly

I hope everybody hears your tale

Because when the last man knows that you're all alone

It's my name that will prevail
