The Phone Call
Summary:A girl lives with her mother and older brother in a small cabin near the sea. One day she and her friends receive a prank call, telling them "When the clock strikes one, the blood will begin to flow." They laugh it off, but what happens when the girl's friends and family begin disappearing one by one? Read on…you're about to find out.
A girl lays sprawled across the grass. She lazily flicks a bug off her arm as she stares into the sky. If it weren't for her puffy, red eyes, no one would know she had any problems at all. She would just seem like a normal girl, on a normal day. Normal indeed, to Selena, this day had been anything but normal.
"Ally can you get the phone? My hands are dirty." I called over my shoulder as the phone began to ring.
"Ok!" Ally called back. A few seconds later she appeared in the kitchen.
Ally picked up the phone and looked at the number. "Should I pick up? It's a private number." She asked.
"Sure." I replied, curious to see who it was.
Ally pushed the talk button and pressed the phone to her ear. "Hello?" She said into the phone.
I began to wash peanut butter off my hands. I had been making a sandwich.
"No this is Ally."
I dried my hands and got out a plate.
"Yes she's here but she's busy."
I put the sandwich on the plate and leaned back on the table, watching Ally. "
Who is it?" I asked. Ally shrugged and said quickly into the phone, "She can talk now she's finished." and handed the phone to me.
"Hello Selena." Came the unfamiliar drawl. "Who are you?" I asked.
There was a pause, then "That is not important."
"What do you want?" I asked suspiciously, beginning to regret I told Ally to pick up.
I heard a chuckle, then the person on the other end said "Just remember, When the clock strikes one, the blood will begin to flow."
The phone went silent.
