settled cozily in the heads of my classmates
while i sit empty headed and zipped
in my own cast out world
as they recite mugged up answers to the teacher.
i tilt my head to the blue sky
out of my reach staring back at me
from the other side of the glass.
i carve my name into an imaginary wall
so that, when another one comes
and sits like this, the way i do
and live in their own world like me
they'll see the wall with my name on it
and know that there was another dreamer here too.
