One thing that keeps balance in the spiritual world are demons. They are evil creatures that love to reek havoc on the spiritual tides. They are the true Yang of the spiritual world. But, without them, the spiritual tides would be in true chaos.

Then, there are shamans. They are the connecters from the spirit world to the physical world. The are Humans, who can see the spirits that are on the physical plain. They can also interact with them. They have spiritual abilities, such as the Fire Pan released. That was what they called Spirit flame. Pan would be training with these skills, so he could take demons to the Cage. The cage is where demons are stored. Demons do break out, though. That's how they balance the Yin and the Yang.

Pan was growing to like his school. He was getting straight A's, and he was having fun learning with his comedic teacher. Everyday after school he would meditate and practice his spiritual abilities. That's when the day came.

It was recess and Swarts has not shown up. This was the day where Pan would take the complete initiation to join the gang. That is, if he passed the personality test. Swarts came running in the school gates, with scratches and bruises all over. His clothes were ripped massively all over. Colin and Austin came running over to Swarts. They began asking questions like "What Happened?" and "Who did this?" Swarts just raised his head and said "If I told you, you wouldn't believe me."

"Try me," Pan said, walking over. He took him over to the field. He said, "I was mugged." "That's not that hard to believe," Pan replied. "You don't get it," he said. "I was mugged by a spirit." Pan stood still in shock. This was the beginning of a truly amazing tale.

During that week Pan had come in contact with more than several spirits that were attacking him. His spirit flame was enough. During that week, he also learned a new spiritual skill. Aero sphere. He creates a ball of rotating spiritual energy and fires it off at an enemy. It was stronger than the spirit flame, but more condensed, and harder to aim.

Later in the month Pan noticed something strange about Swarts. He was being alone more often, and during that time, it looked like he was practicing some strange kind of martial arts. It looked like he was trying to do things, like breathe fire! This was not a coincidence. Pan activated his spiritual powers, and saw that Swarts was using the spirit flame ability!

Pan went home that day in amazement. He actually knew another Shaman! "This is totally amazing!" He kept shouting threw his head all day. He would have to tell Swarts about the great news one time or another. Pan went straight up to his room. He meditated into the spirit world, and read the ancient test all night. When he came out of the meditation, he was in fear. He couldn't sputter a word.

The next day at school, Pan did not say a thing to anyone. He didn't answer questions aloud, and he sat alone at lunch. Everyone was concerned. Well, everyone except Swarts. He has been going to this school his entire life. He's seen it happen before, but Pan had a secret that was giving him a nervous breakdown.

At the end of the day, on his way home from school, Pan noticed something odd about the path he was taking. He stopped, and then it hit him. "Release!" Pan yelled, forming a square with his fingers. Suddenly, reality came flowing back. He wasn't on his way home. Someone used a spiritual ability to make him think he was heading home. An illusion. As he regained his sight, he found himself in an ally way, somewhere he has never been before. Then, he appeared.

A sixteen year old looking man in a black shirt and wearing black jeans came walking out of the shadows, his hands shoved in his pockets. He slowly took his hands and placed his palms together. "Spirit," He began to speak. "Shock!" He raised his hands as a bolt of lightning, real lightning, struck at Pan. Pan quickly jumped out of the way, but the shockwave was enough the damage him.

An evil laugh came from the voice of this man, as he walked up to Pan. He looked him in the eye, face to face, and said, "The black rose rises, and the white rose gets plucked." He chuckled and disappeared in a bolt of black lightning. "Rose?" Pan questioned. He reached over to his shoulder and put out a small flame that laid on his shirt.

Later that evening, Pan found his way home. His parents were deathly worried. He ate a quick bowl of Mac n' cheese and went up to his room to study up one what he meant. While skimming the ancient text, he came upon this.

"The black rose rises and the white rose gets plucked. The red rose gets attention and the others get none." Beside the text was an image of three human children. A male standing on a rooftop, a female surrounded by faceless men, and another male swinging on a rope tied to a tree. "What could this mean?" Pan thought. He dismissed his questions till further notice.
