Dear Ben,

I will meet you in a place and time that I have selected. I have no questions and I cannot wait to meet you. Meet me at Coffee Plaza on Wednesday, November 19, 2007 10:49 PM.

Sincerely,
Michelle

The wind felt cold on my back as the door to the coffee shop opened. I turned my head to see if it was the man I was supposed to be meeting, but I remembered that I didn't know what he looked like. As I turned my head back to the coffee that I was pretending to drink I felt a chill run up my back.

"So, you don't drink coffee and yet, you choose to come to a coffee shop?" a spine-tingling voice whispered into my right ear. I shook and turned around. I was face to face with a man about twenty-one year's old. He was beautiful with his radiant silver eyes and straightened black hair. He looked like he was an emo without the eyeliner. Though, I was pretty sure he would look hot in eyeliner too. He looked me up and down, but he didn't say anything else, almost like he was waiting for me to make a move.

"I chose the coffee shop, Ben, because I have friends that come here every night at 10 o'clock." I smiled and he turned away. I guess that I wasn't what he was looking for. But he then quickly turned around and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Smart move, Michelle, but I need to talk to you in a quieter area." His eyes glistened as a panicked look spread across my face and he sighed, "Okay, how about we have a drink and get to know each other a little bit more…and then move somewhere quieter." He winced like I was ruining his plans, but agreed. The clock moved faster than we could manage, but we didn't mind. Until we realized the sun was up. Ben glanced at the clock hanging on the wall of the shop. I heard him lightly whisper under his breath, "Damn it…" as he got up from the booth that we were sharing.

"Well, Michelle, I had a great time." He stalled, "Would you like to meet again, say, tonight?" I looked down at my feet. I really couldn't believe that a beautiful man, like himself, would want to share another second with me. I felt my cheeks turn red and I twisted my bracelet around my wrist. His lips changed from a gorgeous smile to a puppy pout. I laughed and shook my head.

"Call me. Maybe, you could come over to my house and we could talk or something…." Ben smiled, entered my number into his phone, and walked out the door. I sighed and walked out the door – hoping that this wasn't a joke.
