Fear

It lurks in the corners, the shadows of the room
Dark alleys, deep jungle, the graveyard of tombs
It lives in the deep, dark recesses of your soul
To haunt you, make you insane, till it reaches Its goal

Pale white skin, the heart beats bold
Body paralyzed, sweat is clammy and cold
Your eyes wide open in the night, no sleep
Your eyes wide open, can't even weep
Fear rules with Terror and Horror to carry out the kill
Controlling the body, the mind, the will

Fear is only unknown, not to be afraid to sleuth
Light is the answer to shine the Truth
You can shake in the corner or conquer the Fear
Sweat and fret or search till it's clear

(age 14, yes, this is the very first poem I wrote while trying to conquer my fears)
