I just heard the best song. It's called "Taylor, the Latte Boy" by Kristin Chenoweth. It was hilarious. Just thought you'd all like to know that. It made me giggle. Anyway, this is a little depressing poem, so after you read it you can review and then go listen to that happy song.

For days you feel nothing.

You react,

You respond,

But the barrier between your heart

And brain

Is firmly in place.

For days it stands strong against

The barrage of feeling that you

Refuse to let in.

For days you are rational.

Then the barrier falls.

(Not as well maintained as you'd hoped)

And you feel everything.

You drown in your emotions.

You flail and call for help,

But everyone is too

They stare while you slip under.

You scramble with brick and mortar.

Try to repair the wall.

With effort you replace the bricks.

You breathe deep

And stand tall.

You are calm.

(That never happened)

You do not feel.
