Death Of Wisdom

Below the fires deep
Swallowed he who was but so wise
An old man, in robes of grey then white
His foe did he despise

Death of wisdom
Oh did it happen today
Stood on stone oh yes he did
And did the wood not break

One man lost to the fire
And to the depths did he plunge
Scrambled for the edge did not make
A handhold, and so he slipped

Left the scratches on my door,
And did he not bring his friends
Dwarves never meet there end
When wisdom does die

Death of wisdom
Oh did it happen today
Stood on stone oh yes he did
And did the wood not break

Death of wisdom
Oh did it happen today
Stood on stone oh yes he did
And did the wood not break

And death of wisdom
Oh dear old man
Why did the fire
Take you so.
