The End

War

The bombs had fallen quickly

Ending so many lives

So many soldiers killed every day

So many widowed wives

So many fatherless children

So many unnecessary ends

As I see you lying next to me

My regards to your family I send

Your wife will never see her husband

Your son will never see his dad

Your grandchildren will be grandfather-less

And people say war isn't bad?

The lives of the soldiers

The lives of their family

The lives of the people back home

Will all be effected by what I see

A war is not just on the battlefield

A war is not just for the men

Who bravely risk life and limb

To save others though their life is spent
