She sleeps

She sleeps

She sleeps, peaceful as the night
In my arms, us holding each other tight
Her warm hand clinches, slowly turning cold Trying to savor this moment, she was just fifteen years old
Death pulling on her eyelids
Her life it forbids
It knows one way or another, open or closed
If only I had waited, cause on that night I had proposed
Her time has come, and she without a warning
Little did I know, she wouldnt be there in the morning
The air grows chilling, and for her I am willing
To never love another like her, she smiles from the coldest cloud in heaven
And she remembers the day we met, we were both seven
