LAURENCE: You're late.

TYLER: My apologies, sir. We're having issues with the signal down here.

LAURENCE: At this point, I don't really care. What did you want to discuss? I don't have all day, you realize.

TYLER: …

LAURENCE: Well?

TYLER: We've got a problem.

LAURENCE: What?

TYLER: It's about Project 19…

LAURENCE: What about it?

TYLER: It's escaped.

TYLER: …

TYLER: Um… Sir? You still there?

LAURENCE: How in the hell did it break out?

TYLER: Er… the investigation is still pending. It blew up the building, so finding anything tangible is going to be difficult.

LAURENCE: Damage? Casualties?

TYLER: The building's been almost completely torn apart. I suspect the initial detonation set off some explosive chemicals. We're still trying to put out the fires. What staff managed to evacuate is pretty much fine. We're still trying to get into the Lab 19 area. As for equipment, I don't think much of it will be salvageable.

LAURENCE: Did you find 19?

TYLER: No, sir, but it's possible its body is still in the rubble…

LAURENCE: Unlikely.

TYLER: What do you mean?

LAURENCE: It's a weapon. It's not going to die that easily. Did you pull any data?

TYLER: The data storage room was destroyed. All info has been wiped.

TYLER: We do have witnesses, though. The survivors reported a security alarm going off. The breached area was Lab 19.

LAURENCE: Anything else?

TYLER: Not really. But there is one thing. We're still not sure if it's relevant.

LAURENCE: And that is?

TYLER: Two people have gone missing: a scientist and a lab hand. We're still trying to get hits on the names – Jake Morgan and Christine Sommers. There's not a single thing on either of them.

LAURENCE: Interesting. Keep trying to find a lead on them. Has a reconnaissance team been sent out?

TYLER: I think they're about to set out.

LAURENCE: Good. Prepare a file and fax it to me. Then keep me posted on any developments.

TYLER: Understood, sir.

LAURENCE: Oh, and if you screw up again, you can kiss your job goodbye. Got it?
