Author's Note: Because of the reference to Disney's Finding Nemo, I feel compelled to say that I don't own the film, etc. The poem itself has nothing to do with the character of "Nemo." The name is being used as a nickname for a small child. Anyway...

Nemo

So diligent, so persistent

so eager, full of life.

Look at his eyes.

Nemo scuttles 'cross the water,

slowly but sure.

His life undecided,

so small is he.

Pray he doesn't lose

the light he holds.

No gimp fin has he,

but inexperience.

And still he tries.

Nemo scuttles towards

a rising sun.

His eyes bright,

he's going forward.
