The rain starts to pour

The droplets of rain splashing into the puddles of water.

Eyes, they are all around me.

Looking, staring, at every little move I make.

The wind blows,

I can hear little harsh whispers

My ear tickles,

My skin tingles.

Wild overgrown bushes,

Roses, fighting their way out of the thorns

Their petals torn into shreds

Captured, trapped, withering.

I fear.

Those statues - white porcelain marble statues

Crying underneath the rain

Standing so still, so silent.

Some have lost their hands,

Some have lost their heads.

But one thing remains the same,

A dark green cloud is slowly engulfing them.

The rustling of the leaves

The evil cries of the crows

An unknown presence,

An unseen presence.

I am not alone,

The ruined statues are not alone.

A more sinister presence is amongst us.

I can feel it up in my spine.

I can hear its footsteps going 'tap tap tap'.

I can feel the ice cold sensation as it brushes past me.

Along with the haunting whispers of the wind,

It's snickering and howling voice can be heard.

My heart starts to pound,

My body stands still.

Its' voice overpowers the rain

In a screeching, screaming tone.

I feel as if a snake is coiling itself around me.

Tighter and tighter, around my throat, waist and wrists.

Its slimy and cold wet skin against my flesh

Like acid, it burns my skin.

My heart struggles,

My body remains still.

I can feel long scaly fingers touching my hair and face,

It's long black nails scraping against my face.

Another strong wind blow past.

Spots of red formed in my vision.

The motionless humans,

They are looking not at me anymore but at the unseen.

Their eyes, though stone, look terrified.

Their tears have turned purple.

And ever so slightly, I can see their lips moving.

"Death… death… death…"

Slowly, I turned with quivering lips.

My heartbeat starts to race.

Then it stops as I stare into glimmering red eyes.

The unseen has been seen

It smiles.

I stare.

Scaly green slimy lips.

And even now... I cannot scream.
