A lone wolf howled,
howled to the moon,
to talk with its friend.
A lone wolf and the bright moon,
two friends in the lonely dark,
both each other's companion.
Silently the moon watches the wolf,
howling the wolf sings to the moon,
both were friends in that dark lonely night.
But at some time the moon must leave the lone wolf,
and the wolf must stop his song to the bright moon,
both lonely again 'til tomorrow night.
