I woke up at 6:30 a.m., my Senior year had finally arrived. I was determined to fit in this year. I tried out for the colorguard (the flags in band) at the end of last year, and I was pretty sure I made it. I would find out later that day. I sure hoped I made it - all the hot drummers go out with colorguard girls, and there was one that I had my eye on since we took Freshman Honors Biology together.

I changed a lot over the summer. My once boring dirty-blonde hair became an exotic brown, which matched nicely with my golden tan skin I obtained by spending every day at the beach. The biggest change, though, was my weight. I lost 30 pounds! I planned to weigh under 115 by the time Prom rolled around - I had my eye on this beautiful dark blue dress that just wouldn't look right with my old fat self in it.

I quickly showered and began styling my hair. I decided soft curls would be a great way to start the year. A red blouse with lacy sleeves and dark-wash blue jeans was my outfit, completely with black, half-inch heels. I also put some cloth shorts and a tank-top in a grocery bag for colorguard practice after school, just to be prepared.

My mom yelled up the stairs telling me I was going to be late if I didn't hurry. It was already 7:30! I grabbed my purse, keys, and backpack and ran out the door to my brand new 2008 Mustang, a gift from my grandparents for my Senior year. I was so excited; the year was going to be perfect!

A/N: I know, it's short, but I had to stop it there. I don't know if I'm going to finish this one. Let me know if you want to see it continued.
