Rounding Elementary school. After sneaking on a train to get to Oxford, May ended up taking the 2nd grade at Rounding, meeting many friends along the way, one in particular, Monica. May somehow convinces Monica to let her live in her closet so she can hide from the orphanage. Eventually, her new adopted parents turn out to be Monica's aunt and uncle. Monica's entire family finds out about May living in her closet. May ends up living with Monica's aunt and uncle and ends up very happy.
Characters:
May: A carefree girl who's really hyper, energetic, and seemingly empty in the common sense area. Everyone counts on her to make even the most boring situations fun.
Monica: The mature, smart girl who's got everything under control. Everyone counts on her to watch over them and make sure nothing goes out of hand.
Mimi: The sweet, innocent girl who's really a little evil inside. She's had a crush on Joe since…2nd grade. She is very likable and cute.
Joe: A bit serious, and VERY intelligent. Seemingly, "really hot" and most girls chase after him. He has feelings for Mimi but doesn't really want to admit it. He's more down to earth, but can be very stubborn.
Poopie: The guy who's all heart. He's very sensitive but wouldn't dare be mean to anybody. He wouldn't hurt a fly but is extremely shy. He gets teased a lot by May because of his name.
Mist: An evil girl from 2nd grade. They haven't seen her in a while but all she wants to do is to ruin May, Monica, Mimi, Joe, and Poopie's lives. She is very jealous at how everyone seems to like them and will go against nothing to make their lives a living hell.
Bob: Not mentioned much, but he is pretty much a loser. He is obsessed with Mimi and convinced that she is her soul mate, much to Mimi and Joe's displeasure. He's a hopeless romantic.
Alright, ON WITH THE STORY!!
Chapter 1: The Tech Room
"Monica! I can't believe I'm your cousin now!" May exclaimed in wonder, "Now we can be best friends forever!"
Monica groaned, "It's been two years since that's happened already! We're going into high school now! Shut the hell up!"
May shook her head disdainfully.
"Tsk tsk. You still haven't gotten out of your swearing habit!" May chided.
All of a sudden, May slipped and fell right in the middle of the sidewalk.
"F!" May yelped loudly. People looked out the windows of their houses.
"Look who's talking!" Monica rolled her eyes at her cousin.
After a few more minutes of walking and May being teased of Monica, the girls finally stopped in front of their new high school, Squaring High school.
"Well, we're here," Monica declared. She started pulling out her timetable.
To Monica's surprise, May dashed into the school, yelling at the top of her longs.
"AHHHHH!" She screamed, flailing her arms.
"What the…" Monica trailed off. She sighed and slowly followed her cousin inside.
Monica found May running around in circles in the main hallway.
"She's probably new…" Monica heard a random guy whisper to his friend. They both snickered but one look from Monica, they whimpered and walked away.
"Aww! She's so adorable!" A 12th grade girl exclaimed.
At that comment, May immediately stopped and started at the senior girl. She growled as loud as possible and continued running around in circles.
"Never mind!" the girl squealed and ran off.
May suddenly stopped and looked around.
"Where's the tech room?!" she wailed.
May ran up to a random guy who seemed to be a sophomore. She grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and shook him wildly, while screaming in his ear.
"ROOM 102! WHERE IS IT?"
"MAMA!" the boy cried and ran in the opposite direction.
Finally, May stopped and noticed Monica shrinking in a corner, embarrassed of her behavior.
"Monica!" May screamed at the top of her lungs. She grabbed Monica and started shaking her violently.
"Room 102! I need to find room 102!"
Monica hit May on the head with her knapsack.
"Calm down, loser!"
"But…but…room 102…"
Monica shook her head and pointed at the room behind them. May dropped her hands and stared in wonder.
"Ohhhh…" May's eyes glazed over.
"Oh joy…I'm in your class," Monica stated, not very happy.
"What…" May took a minute to think, "Oh! Yay!"
She dragged Monica into the room and skipped around happily. She suddenly stopped and recognized a familiar figure sitting at a corner table.
"Poopie?" May asked loudly.
Poopie turned around with a look of horror in his eyes.
"Ahh! It's happening again!" Poopie cried and ran into a nearby closet.
"Poopie!" May continued and she skipped over to the closet, "we haven't been in the same class for four years!"
"I wish I were that lucky," Monica mumbled.
"And I was enjoying that too," Poopie muttered.
May's happy dance was interrupted by Joe and Mary walking into the classroom. Joe saw the back of May's head and was hopeful.
"What…Mimi?!" He asked joyously.
"Huh?" May turned around and started at Joe.
"Damnit! It's you! Where's Mimi?"
"I think she has French first period," Monica supplied.
Mary, the boy with the girl's name in May's 2nd grade class, obviously didn't like being forgotten. He decided to speak up.
"It's been a while since we were all in the same class!" He exclaimed.
"Really?" chirped May, "I didn't even notice you weren't there!"
"What?!" Mary demanded.
"Oh yeah, it's you," Monica spoke up, "you're not really important in the story."
"Yeah, no one cares about you," May giggled excitedly.
"Hey!" Mary cried.
The group's introduction was cut short because the tech teacher decided to walk in. She seemed to be a woman in her 50's with short, graying hair. She was wearing casual clothes, fit for working with machinery.
"Hey there!" The teacher introduced herself, "I'm Ms. Liebgott and I'm a happy camper!"
"Woo!" May cheered, "I'm happy, you're happy, we're all happy!" May clapped loudly.
"I'm gonna ace this course," Monica smirked confidently.
"Ha ha! Watch her fail!" a voice came out from the back of the room.
Monica growled.
"Who dares defy me?" She stood up, holding a plastic knife.
"You still haven't realized you can't hurt anyone with a plastic knife…"Joe sighed.
The outburst seemed to come from a small, laid back girl from the back of the class. She had red contact lenses and medium length, black hair. She wore a sweater and jeans, with a skateboard popped up near her desk. She had a headphone placed in each of her ears.
Monica and May walked up to the girl together. The girl didn't seem the least bit intimidated. The name tag on her desk read that her name was 'An.' She smirked as they walked up, popping one headphone out of her ear.
"Was it you?" Monica demanded.
"Hi! My name's May! What's yours?" May asked, seemingly hyper.
"I like dead things," An spoke darkly.
"Waaa!" May cried as she hid behind Monica. She slowly peered at An over Monica's shoulder.
Monica, who had still not cooled down, snarled.
"Graah!"
She yelled and she threw her plastic knife at a random corner of the room. The knife missed Poopie's just by a millimeter.
"Why always me?!" he cried.
"'Cause you're such an easy target!" May chuckled at Poopie's misery.
"Chop chop," Ms. Liebgott clapped her hands to get the students' attention, "Let's get a move on!"
"But…" Poopie started.
"No whining!" The teacher screeched.
"But-but"
"No stuttering!"
"…"
"No being quiet!"
"I like dead things," An repeated.
"That's the spirit!" Ms. Liebgott nodded her head enthusiastically.
After a class of introductions and handouts about how the machinery worked, the bell rang, indicating the end of first period. The students piled out of room 102 and scrambled to their next classes.
"I have gym next," Monica and May had stopped in the hallway, "what do you have?"
"Waaa!" May cried, "I have family studies! We won't be together!"
"Finally! After seven years of torture, my dreams have come true!"
Monica shot her fist up in the air to emphasize her pleasure.
"What do you have last?" May asked hopefully.
"Math…" Monica answered warily.
"Yeah! Same here!"
"Already my dreams have been shattered…"
Without the girls noticing, An had apparently crept up behind May and spoke in a low voice.
"May…"
"Huh…" May replied timidly.
"…you have…"
"Wha…"
"You have…"
"What…"
"You have family studies with me…"
May instantly tensed up.
"AHHH!" she screamed, "The horror!"
"Tough luck," Monica added, not very sincerely.
"I like dead things!" An exclaimed enthusiastically.
Things possibly couldn't get any worse for May.
A/N: Yes, poor May. But we hope you like the new character in the story! The mysterious, intimidating An! You'll be seeing a lot of her . She adds a bit more spice to our story. Anyways, keep checking back for updates!
