The Otherness of me
Dictates who I do not want to be
And yet each and every day
I find myself turning that way
To become the things I hate
All the dark things that grate
On the heart and soul
For I know I am not whole
Yet the me that is I
With a smile that is wry
Takes the Otherness of me
And merges to be
All the things that I am
An enemy, a friend
And makes us all one
In the name of the Son
