believe me when I say

by, Cassandra

If you don't believe in me,
then why should I believe in you?
If you don't believe that I can
stand tall, take care of myself;
if you don't believe that I have
what it takes to change the world,
then why, oh why, tell me why
should I ever believe in you?

If you don't believe in yourself,
then how can I believe in you?
If you say that you can change,
can grow, become something more,
but never even attempt to try,
and you never attempt to fly
then how, oh how, tell me how
can I ever believe in you?
