Remember our speaker with "gusto"? Honestly, all that lingers in my memory was the aftermath. And we know what that was about. It wasn't our prouder moments...But it was fun, wasn't it? It was so exhilarating watching one lone man face the noise of his 2000 person crowd. I have four words for something like that: too-hot-to-handle! Right? Right?

And this wasn't the only time wasn't it? May I recall to your minds a certain "abusive relationships" video, from just earlier this week...don't you think it was pointless? Why should we care about something like that? It's not like it's going to happen to any one of us? It's not a threat because it doesn't happen. But it happened to me, and as much as I hate to admit, I know that it'll break you so far down that death...that's right, DEATH, seems like the only escape. Now would you like to chuckle or guffaw at the spectacle? Feel free...

Standing here...right here... I'm talking to you. And I don't want to turn around knowing you're going to throw everything out the window, or laugh, or utter those insults reserved specifically for these instances. It takes so much for a person to stand in front of a group and keep any kind of composure. Now that demands at the very least your attention!

But we will not say "Please! Please! Listen to me!" We will not fall to our knees, and we will never prostrate ourselves at your feet. Because we are not your excuses, we are not your marionettes, and we are not your dogs. We're guests of your presence, and not only expect but deserve to be treated as such.

This does include your language and demeanor. Hearing, "Oh, look at her. She's such a bleep. Her speech bleeped. That assembly was such a bleeping bleep." What does that prove? What does that say about you? Because all anyone's gonna see is one rude, disrespectful, inarticulate bum. But I hear people think that's cool right now.

My point is no one wants to know you curse. No one cares if you don't give a flying rat, unless they're displaying that same behavior, and you know what? Nobody who stands in front of you and speaks to you should find any of this kind of idiocy from anyone. For the most part, people speak from experience, and in that case, you're laughing at veterans...your mothers would cry if they saw you sink that low...
