Codename: Teenager

Codename: Teenager

"Shana! Wake up! It's already midnight!" My obnoxious mom yelled.

She does not believe in sleep! Instead, she believes in waking up just as the sun comes up each morning. I have to admit, at first seeing the sun rise is really pretty, but after awhile, getting up so early just becomes a pain. As I glanced at the clock though, I realized that it was midnight. Why was she waking me up at night?

I groaned and unwillingly got up and put on a pair of jeans and dark blue tank top. That should be suitable for whatever she has planned. I hope it isn't another nighttime training at the dojo.

"Hurry up! You're burning up precious time!" Mom screamed at me.

"I'm already making my way down the steps." I yelled back without much enthusiasm.

"Grab some fruit and let's hurry over to the T.S.A. They told me they needed you for another mission." my mom said. There were dark circles under her emerald green eyes and her light brown hair was a mess. None of her clothes matched either. "Get in the car and don't waste any time!" (I called her car the black speeder, because it's black and mom always drives way too fast in it.)

What I haven't mentioned is that I'm one of the teenagers at the T.S.A. (Teenage Spy Agency). I was adopted by them when I was really young so they could have more time to train me. Two other kids were adopted at the orphanage by the T.S.A., but I only know one. Her name is Nancy and she is one of my only friends at the agency. Both of us love the danger of being a spy, but sometimes we just want a normal teenage life.

"Agent J (my spy name), your mission for now is to stop Dr. Quarantine from stealing the Midnight Stone from the museum on Elms Street. Do you think you can do it?" asked Mission Master Martha (or Triple M when she's not around) when we got to the T.S.A.

"I'm on it!" I exclaimed.

I changed into my black cat suit to blend in with the night and then ran to the museum. When I reached the entrance, I picked the lock open so I could enter. When I was inside, I sprayed some laser mist to show the red security lasers that would set off the alarms and made my way past them.

When I reached the Midnight Stone, however, there was already some guy

standing there trying to figure out a way to get the stone out of the monitored glass. I'll bet it's someone working for Dr. Quarantine. Good thing I know five different styles of martial arts! It's just one of the many things they teach you when you're a spy at the T.S.A.

"You shouldn't be here! You have no right to steal the stone!" the boy threatened. He had jet black hair that was cut short and harsh blue eyes. He was wearing long black pants and a tight black shirt.

"Ha! I've got more right to it than you!" I responded. It's funny how he thinks that he has any right to it at all.

I made my way past the security lasers and stood next to him. I know that Dr. Quarantine's supporters are not as well trained as teens like me at the T.S.A. I was also sure that he waited until they were adults rather than teens. This guy looked about my age. Normally Dr. Quarantine sent his supporters out in groups of at least three. I had never seen him sent out anyone alone before.

It was time to get the stone from its display. I knew that if I moved the glass, the alarm would go off. All items on display at a museum are protected by some sort of security system. Maybe I would get lucky and it would just be more lasers. So, I sprayed more laser mist to reveal the red beams that shone down on the glass.

"I thought Dr. Quarantine only had guy supporters, a lot older ones too!" the boy said with confusion.

"He does. I'm not one of his supporters. I'm on a mission to get the Midnight Stone before Dr. Quarantine does. Then there's you and all his other supporters who will do practically anything for Dr. Quarantine." I explained.

"I'm not one of his followers! I'm not even old enough. That's why I work at a spy agency for younger kids and teens like me." the boy responded.

"Prove it! What does T.S.A. stand for?!" I questioned.

"Teenage Spy Agency, now you prove to me that you are with the T.S.A. What is the codename for all the missions for the agent ranks and why?!" the boy crossly asked.

"That's an easy question. It's always Teenager because all the agents are teenagers. The only adults there are Mission Masters and Instructors." I answered.

"So you are from the T.S.A. Cool! I was adopted from an orphanage when I was

really young along with two girls. I've never met them before except when I was at the orphanage and those memories are long gone. I've forgotten everything about life at the orphanage. Anyways, I'm Agent K, but you can call me Andrew." he said, then gave me a wink, "What's your name?"

"Agent J, but you can call me Shana." I said as I twirled my dark hair in my fingers. "So you're the boy that was adopted with Nancy and Me from the orphanage?"

"You and your friend were adopted by the T.S.A. too?!" Andrew exclaimed.

"Uh-huh." I replied.

"Sweet. Anyways, I know how to get the Midnight Stone out. We better hurry 'cause Dr. Quarantine's supporters are about to come in and set of the alarm." Andrew whispered, "Stay quiet so they don't see us. There're only four of them, but we don't want to break any artifacts in a fight."

Whoop! Whoop! BEEEEP!! Whoop! Whoop! BEEEEP!!

Andrew took out a glass cutter, then started to cut a hole in the side of the glass. He didn't bother cutting around the security lasers since the alarm is already calling all the police in the area. It was also quicker if he cut through the lasers.

"Got it! Grab the Midnight Stone and let's get out of here!" Andrew yelled as he pushed the glass in the hole so I could reach in and grab it.

"I've got the stone, let's go!" I shouted and we ran out of the museum and to the T.S.A.

"We've got the stone!" yelled Andrew to Triple M.

"I knew you two would find each other there! Good work!" Triple M exclaimed. "You're free to go."

"Want to go see a movie together, it's on me" Andrew said with a smile.

"Sure! Let's just change our clothes first so the police don't take us in for questioning." I said. "They would find out that we took the Midnight Stone."

I put on my jeans and tank top and he put on a light blue t-shirt and faded jeans. We put our spy suits away in our lockers and told our instructors to put us together as partners for the missions, (we both hated to go on missions alone. I even sometimes go on them with Nancy). Then, we walked out of the building, hand in hand, and headed towards the movie theater.
