Graduation for my brother, Joey, Marissa and Brian came fast. We all were really upset on the last day of school. Okay not all of us but me and Marissa were because we didn't want to leave each other, we were like sisters. We all walked to my house to hang out for a little while and wait to get ready, we were all getting ready together.
The guys got ready in TJ's room.
"So uh, I think I'm gonna propose to Marissa tonight." We all looked over at Brian.
"You what?" TJ asked.
"Yeah. I'm gonna pop the question, later at the party. I'll take her down the beach and well you don't really care."
"No dude that's great." I said patting him on the back. "I'm probably gonna do the same thing with Jay."
"You most certainly will not!" TJ said.
"Why? I love her and I want to get married to her."
"Not so soon dude. Please don't kill me like that."
"Dude you know how girls are when they are planning a wedding. I'll propose but we most likely won't get married for like five more years." I laughed.
"Okay. Just don't get married right out of high school."
"I'm not we're both going to college relax Teej." I said chuckling at him. They were both wearing tuxes while me, Mitch and Ty were in a pair of khaki pants and a dress shirt.
I helped Marissa with her makeup and hair, while she did the same for me. We were both wearing dresses; mine a sun dress, hers slightly more dressier.
"If Brian asked you to marry him, would you say yes?" I asked her as I helped curl her hair.
"Yeah. I love Brian."
"Do you think he'll propose tonight?"
"I don't know, if he does he does, if he doesn't he doesn't. I don't care. I know we'll get married. Why?"
"I dunno. I was just curious."
"Have you and Andy talked about marriage yet?"
"Yeah. We both know we'll marry each other. Man, I love him to death. I took a bullet for him."
"Yeah you did. You two are so cute together. You're meant to be."
"I know. I can't help it, you know. He's too amazing some times. It seems so unreal. I mean two years ago we'd never have imagined this, now I can't imagine life without him."
"What happens when you two go to different colleges?" She asked chuckling.
"We'll see each other every weekend. Some way or another. But I don't think we'll go to different colleges, we'll go to the same just because we can't live without each other." We finished getting ready. Andy drove the not graduating people, TJ took Joey and Brian took Marissa. We got to the school, hugged the others then went and took our seats.
"So Brian told us that he's proposing to Marissa tonight." Andy whispered to me.
"What?!" I hissed turning to face him.
"Don't tell her. He said he might but will most likely. Later at the party."
"I was asking her if she thought he'd propose tonight." I said. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. I smiled.
The ceremony was quick and we screamed and cheered when our friends graduated, we got stares while they laughed. The party was like a typical Evan's Family Party. Ton's of food and dancing. I guess it's just because we're Italian. Andy put his hand on my shoulder and pointed toward Brain and Marissa.
"I'm so happy for them. They deserve each other." He nodded smiling.
"We'll be happy to someday."
"We are now. Look at it this way. Only one more year of High School. College, then we can get married and start a family of our own." I said. "Plus your dad is out of our hair so we don't ever have to worry about him again." I looked over my shoulder at him as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"True." He sighed and rested his chin on my shoulder.
"What are you thinking?"
"I dunno. Just weird. I mean he's my dad. I'm supposed to be upset right?"
"After all he's done to you. He deserves to rot in hell." Adam ran over to us.
"Jimmy pushed me!" Jimmy ran over and said, "Nuh uh!" And they started arguing. I put my fingers in my mouth and whistled. They looked up.
"Sorry." He muttered kicking at the sand.
"Go play. Be nice, don't fight!" I said as they ran off. I rolled my eyes as Andy shook his head, chuckling. Jack walked over.
"Hey cuz. What's up?" He hugged me.
"Not much. I'm exhausted."
"Why don't you go to bed?" Andy said.
"I'm good." I said sitting in a chair and pulling my knees up. It was getting slightly windy and chilly on the beach.
"We're probably gonna hit the road soon. Ally and I have work in the morning."
"Do you need me to baby sit?"
"Probably. Do you mind?"
"Not at all." I said.
"Ok. Thanks. I'm gonna go say good bye to everyone then hit the road." I nodded and hugged him, kissing his cheek. Andy and him clapped hands and then Jack walked off. My mom was unbelievably drunk. So when he said goodbye to her she was almost crying. I had to laugh. Jimmy ran over and hugged.
"I'll see you tomorrow kiddo." I said hugging him and then he ran off. My mom started crying when he said goodbye to her. He looked so confused. Adam walked over and yawned.
"Yeah kiddo time for bed." Andy picked him up and carried him inside. I can barely pick him up anymore he's gotten so big. He's at least 3', possibly more. He rested his head on Andy's shoulder and blew me a kiss goodnight. I walked up after them and helped tuck him into bed.
"You should go to sleep too." Andy said.
"Yeah. I'm exhausted." I said yawning.
"I'll probably stay down for a little while longer." He said kissing my head. I walked down said good night to everyone and then crawled into bed. Andy kissed me then walked back downstairs. I passed out. When I stirred in the middle of the night, Andy was coming in the room.
"Jay?" He hissed. I was too out of it to respond. He quietly walked over to his dresser and changed then walked into the bathroom. I cracked open my lids and the light was on. Ugh I shielded my eyes as he walked out. "Jesus, I thought you were sleeping." He jumped when he saw me sitting halfway up.
"Kinda." I muttered. He climbed over me and into bed. He kissed the corner of my eye and cuddled up to me.
"I gotta dye my hair again." He muttered as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I sighed. His hair only had a little bit of black left. Only at the tips.
"What color?" I slurred.
"Probably brown. I don't think I'll go black again." I hummed, and that's the last I heard.
I woke up late the next morning. Andy was downstairs with Jimmy.
"Morning." He laughed.
"Coffee." I grumbled heading for the machine. He laughed and sat me down before making it for me. Jimmy hugged me.
"Morning Aunt Jay."
"Morning." I yawned.
"Morning Mommy." I ruffled Adams hair.
"And for you." Andy set the mug in front of me and kissed me. "Love you."
"You too." I kissed him before taking a swig. He sat down next to me and wrapped his arm around the back of the chair.
"How long have you been awake?" I asked looking over at him.
"Since 7. Ally came then." He said. It was 11. I felt bad. "Don't worry about it. Go take a shower and wake up." I nodded and walked back upstairs and took a shower before coming back down in capri's and a tee shirt. My hair was up in a pony tail. I stood at the railing watching Adam and Jimmy play in the water and Andy sit there watching them. He looked back and smiled, patting the spot next to him. I grinned and walked down, the sand warm between my toes. He wrapped his arm around me.
"Better?" He asked. I nodded and cuddled into him, resting my head on his shoulder. "You're adorable." He said. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"When are you dying your hair?" He shrugged.
"Probably this weekend. You gonna do it?"
"If you want me to. HEY. COME CLOSER PLEASE!" I shouted at the boys, they were wandering to far out for my liking. They swam back.
Andy's Birthday came quickly, he was now 18. It was a Saturday and I got up at 6:30. Made my own coffee and let him sleep in. I made him breakfast in bed and walked it upstairs at 9. He was on his stomach, his hair in his face and he was snoring slightly, drooling on his pillow. And that's why I love him. I set the food on the night stand and sat down.
"Hey." I gently rubbed his back. He groaned and opened his eyes. He smiled. "Happy birthday." I said kissing him.
"Mmm. Thank you." He pulled me into his arms and kissed me deeply.
"Nu uh." I said pulling away.
"Whyyyy?" He whined.
"I made you breakfast."
"That can wait. You're more important." I laughed shaking my head.
"I don't think so. Eat. It's French toast." I said.
"Have I told you lately that I love you?" He said as he grabbed the tray and dug in. He loved my French toast.
"Of course." I sat next to him. He kissed my cheek. "Ew. Sticky." I said wiping it. He grinned.
"You're such a child." His hair was now brown, with blond streaks in it. It looked really good. He looked amazing with brown hair. It matched his blue green eyes nicely. I rested my head on his shoulder.
"How long have you been up?"
"Take a nap."
"Oh no. We are going to the beach today."
"But I don't wanna."
"It's just gonna be us. Don't you want that?" I asked looking up at him.
"I just wanna cuddle." He pouted. I had to laugh. "What?"
"I dunno. Guys don't like to cuddle."
"I do." He kissed me.
"Later. Get in the shower when you're done." I said getting my clothes out. He sighed, finished his last bite, and then walked in the shower in just boxers. I changed into a bathing suit and a pair of capri's. It was pretty hot out today. Andy walked out and I walked into the bathroom, pulling my hair up and brushing my teeth. He came back in, just wearing a pair of swimming trunks.
"When are we leaving?"
"When ever you're ready." I said kissing him.
"I'm ready." He pulled on a shirt then walked downstairs and put on his shoes. I got into the car and he got in the passenger's seat. I drove to the beach happy to be away from everything for a while. Senior year has been hectic. That and I miss everyone. Melissa was at state university with Brian. And TJ was at county, while Joey was in New Jersey on a soccer scholarship. We were all proud of him. I missed them though. Ty and Mitch were flaunting their gayness, which no one really cared about now that they understand and everything. I pulled into my beach house driveway. I got out and Andy ran toward the ocean. I smiled. He's had an even more hectic life. He's got Adam (even though I had him too) and like 4 AP classes. And an honors class. He passed out at night at the desk. I felt so bad, and there was nothing I could do. He said he needed the courses, when I asked him to drop them, that they were affecting his health. He said he was fine. He dove into the ocean and came up sighing. I waded in and walked over to him.
"Ugh thank you." He hugged me.
"You deserve a day to yourself."
"No I deserve a day with just you. I haven't given you much attention lately, have I?"
"Doesn't matter." I stood on my tippy toes and kissed him. He was now like 6' and I was only 5'5". He held me tighter, holding me to his lips. "I love you."
"Mmm. Love you too." He kissed me again.
December came and passed and then it was my birthday. Andy took me out to dinner, well he took me to the beach where he had cooked me dinner, which was so fabulous, I had honestly no idea he was such a good cook, frankly, neither did he. I lost my virginity to him that night too. It was amazing. You don't need those details. Just that it was amazing and he was extremely sweet. And that my brother broke his nose when he found out. As much as I love Andy, it was funny, he agrees. Graduation came and the ceremony itself was boring but the after party was a blast. Basically our whole grade was at the beach and it was so crowded. Luckily my mom had made enough food to feed an army. I was sitting on the balcony with Andy, who had his arm around my waist.
"You know I love you right?"
"Of course I do."
"Remember how we talked about getting married?" I looked over at him. He was staring at the ocean, out in la la land.
"Will you marry me?" He looked me in the eyes. "I really don't wanna get down on one knee, but I will."
"You don't have to." I kissed him.
"So you will."
"Of course!" I said. "Do I get a ring?"
"Yeah." He pulled it out of his pocket and handed me the box. It was a rock. I swear.
"Andy this is too expensive."
"Didn't cost me a dime." He said, he was back to staring at the ocean. "It was my moms. Well my dad's mom really." He hugged his knees. "I just don't want to think its cursed just because my parents didn't work out."
"Andy, that has nothing to do with it. Your dad was a douche bag. Just because they didn't work out doesn't mean we won't." I said. I knelt in front of him.
"I love you. I couldn't lose you. I can't even imagine life without you. I can't remember life without you. I need you."
"Oh Andy." I sat in his lap and hugged him. He hugged me back, crying. I ran my fingers through his hair. I rocked him gently. "I love you too." I kissed his cheek. He hugged me tighter.
Okay so I'm really really sorry it has taken me so long to update, I've blown up a bunch of computers (not literally, like I keep breaking them) and I've had writers block, I hope people will actually keep reading this story, and that it keeps attracting attention. Anyway sorry and I hope you enjoy.
