The words that want saying,

The thoughts that can't be said.

Those outside playing,

The ones that wind up dead.

Afraid to be wondered,

Afraid to be thought,

Those that can't be singing,

Those that can't be sought.

Scared into waking,

Walk the living dead,

Afraid of their shaking,

Limbs not such as lead.

They walk instead of running.

Jump rather than fly.

They could take the shunning,

If they'd just up and die.
