The Wind and the Water

I feel the wind blow onto my face;
It violently whips my hair.
While the gulls overhead shriek in their rage,
I enjoy the feel of air.

I feel the wind blow onto my face;
It stings my skin with its force.
I let my eyelids flutter shut
As it blows from an unknown source.

I feel the water spray onto my skin;
It smells of the briny sea.
It is cool and soothing; I do not get mad
When it throws itself onto me.

I feel the water spray onto my skin;
It is salty, but sweet in my eyes.
I will stay here until the sea stops its spray
And the howling winds start to die.
