You encroach on my tranquil waters

With your dancing, naked smile

Feet pressing down on marshy shore

I squish beneath your dandy toes

If only I could ever

Find a way to be

Free

Of this placid form

I'd emerge from chilly depths

Warm, reflective of your honest character

Our gaze would meet, a moment's pause

Before I take up a smile

And go squish-squash dancing

With you

A thousand magical miles

Laughing through your pink-painted locks of hair

Free me savior, free me, do you care?

Or why would one chance such a dance

On this oh so stagnant shore

If only to leave me murkier

And more turbulent than before?
