The World of the Dead

AN: Don't even ask about what I was thinking when I wrote this, because, to tell the truth, I don't even know! ^^ But, if you even remotely like this, please go read another poem I wrote called "The Broken Mirror". It's also...pretty sad, so if you like melancholy, that poem is for you too. Thankies!!!!

The world of the dead lies just beyond the night
Where the innocent disappear to when strangled too ripe
Where the lost now wander when doomed souls abandon
And where stolen stars die and shrivel in your hand
Where the sun explodes in hatred and rage
And the moon reflects its blood red face
Where the spectrum of color moves from darkness to dark
Where the light has perished when traveled too far
Where tears and lives bleed from the earth
Where the water is tainted by infinite curse
Where the air is poisoned by sin and lost hope
And fallen dreams rain in firey, black stone
For the world of the dead lies just beyond the night
Just beyond the day
Just beyond the sun
The world of the dead lies just beyond your life
