A/N: Hey! Clarifying a misunderstanding on my profile (If you've seen this or understood, skip this. I'm NOT begging) I may not LIVE for reveiws, but I do like them :) They make me feel happy and motivated. For those who reviewed on my other attempt at uploading, thank you so much. I promised that it would make me update faster (If I could). Anyway, without further ado, the story.
Evelyn
Evelyn walked quickly to her next class. She was unbothered by something as trivial as the wrath of her next teacher for being late. She wasn? worried about her impending transformation, either.
Though I should be . . . She told herself again. She needed to find a place to leave her body before she could jump to the next dimension. But instead of worrying about that, she was thinking about the boy who had been missing in her last class. He had brown hair and eyes, and looked as if he could lift a mountain if he wanted to.
She had never really like a guy before. They all seemed so . . . fragile. Kiernan wasn't that buff, but he had a sense of unstoppable power, as well as patient waiting.
Focus! She snapped to herself. Her time in this dimension was almost up, and she still didn't have a way to get rid of her body. It was wearing thin, like clothes worn for too long.
As she walked through the parking lot, she saw a boy in a black hoodie standing nearby. He had the same air of power, but when she glanced at him he looke different. His hair was almost black, but slightly more golden. His eyes were pure black. She walked past him, not really caring. She would notthink about guys. She would focus.
That is she did until she felt something dark touch her inner fire. Without thinking she burned it off, like a smudge of water on a flame. Then she realized that, unlike the times when other dark energy had been around her that she needed to burn off, this energy had moved. She bit her lip to keep from screaming and turned in the direction of the dark energy, thankful that her half-god brain worked instantly so that she could catch the culprit.
The boy in the hoodie was standing there, recoiling as if burnt. She switched her vision to her god sight, allowing her to see the true energy of all beings. She would use this more often, but it burned through the cocoon of her fake body faster than anything else.
What she saw made her stop walking and stare. Instead of a life force, this boy had dark energy. A tendril of the energy was quickly recoiling from her to shrink back into him.
She stared at him in surprise and horror. She was conscious of a car just turning into the lot, going much too fast on the slippery road. She would have to move soon or kill her body.
"What was that?!" she shrieked at him. He stared at her without comprehending. She had never been so scared before in her life. He had just tried to steal the only thing that defined who she was, her personality, her soul. And how could dark energy move? It wasn't alive!
Brakes screeched in a desperate attempt to keep the car from hitting her. There was no time to be subtle now: she would have to use the speed and strength that came naturally from being half goddess.
Evelyn jumped into the air, planning on landing on top of the car. When she landed, it was so lightly that there was no noise. She frowned. Her body should have made more noise than that. She looked down to see her former body crumpling over the hood, already dead from the lack of soul.
How could I have forgotten my body? She thought. Sudden realization hit her. It was too thin to stand up to inhuman speed.
She looked at the boy, who should no longer have been able to see her. He was staring at her in surprise and confusion.
Okay, I guess he can see me. I really need to talk to Mom, She thought, jumping into the air and dimension shifting. The last thing she saw in the third dimension of Earth was the boy's wide, black eyes.
A/N: I think I do girl POV's better (Mostly because I'm a girl: I have NO IDEA how guys think). If you like this, or have constructive criticism, please review to tell me. If you have trouble reviewing, PM me to tell me if I messed up something. I still don't know how everything works on this site, so please be nice. I really don't mind you pointing out my mistakes: it's better to look like that fool who messed up than to look like that BIGGER fool that still thinks they're right.
