It was their final night together, but it still felt like the first time once again. They both knew it couldn't go on. Both were married, one already caring for a child. This fling that they had started together could destroy many lives that were not truly involved in it. This was why they were ending it.

"You do realize that I could take care of you," he was attempting to persuade her to stay with him. Even though this was the first time he had said it, she knew that he meant it.

"It's not that simple," she smiled buttoning up her shirt. "We are both married. I already told you, I'm in love with my husband. Since he was away on business so much, at least until next week, I needed someone. You agreed that this was just fun. There is no other emotion to it."

"If only I had met you before I got married," he sat up on the bed. "I would have stolen you away."

"Not if I already had my daughter like I do," she sat down on the edge and glanced at him. "I suppose that this is it."

Reaching her hand out, she made the attempt to shake his hand. He grasped it and pulled her so her ear was close to his lips as he whispered:

"For now, this is it. If you ever need anything…anything at all, please call."

"Thank you," she kissed him on the cheek and stood up.

"Sayonara."

With that last word, she walked out of the room and both of them went back to their lives. She went back to her husband and five-year-old daughter, and he went back to his wife and business. They both knew that neither had the intention of contacting the other or ever meeting again; if they could help it.
