It was a full moon. The stars where shining brightly against the glowing, celestial-like orb in the sky. The sky itself lacked clouds and that just seemed to add to the whole 'euphoric' feeling. And somewhere beneath that perfect sky, a boy sat. Alone and pondering. In a meadow he was, thinking about his existence and all that has happened. For you see, he was but an empty shell. Shunned by society for the mishaps of his past and hated for accusations that were far from the truth. He sat stiffly as he watched the stars twinkle in the vast ocean of darkness and beyond. He gazed up thoughtfully as the moon sent rays of light everywhere, bathing the meadow with a heavenly, silver haze. And from somewhere in the forest, a small gasped is heard.

It was a perfect night. The moon, the stars, everything was perfect. But he stood out the most. She watched from the shadows as he sat there, engulfed in celestial light and out-shining all the other aspects the scene provided. He always sat there. And she would watch. Just like she always did. For years people have mistreated him. For years they've blamed him for things that were simply not his fault. And for years, she had watched him. She admired him like no one else did. She loved him like no one else did. And tonight, she would tell him.

He sat there. Looking up every now and then he let a sigh escape his lips.

"You can come out now. I know you're there."

The girl stepped out of the shadows and made her way over to the boy. Gently plopping down next to him, she tensely avoided eye contact.

"You've been spying on me. I can sense you, you know. Ever since the beginning, I've know you were there."

She blushed as he told her this. Suddenly she felt like a stalker.

"So, care to tell me why you've been doing this? Or perhaps you're like the others. Are you aiming to kill me? If so, I won't struggle."

She instantly looked him in the eyes. Fidgeting at the sudden stare, he looked at her curiously. Or at least as curious as empty shells go. And she finally spoke up. Smiling at the boy she cocked her head to the side.

"I made a wish."

"For my doom?'

"No! How could you say that?! Not every one wants you dead you know! Maybe some people actually care about you! Have you ever thought of that?! Have you ever thought that maybe, with all their hearts, some people actually love you?! How dare you say, how dare you even imply that I want you dead!! I would never want you dead. Ever!!"

To say he was shocked would be an understatement. He was down right thunderstruck! Not once in his life had a person claimed they loved him. Not once had a person showed him they cared. At least, not since the accident.

As for the girl, she was fuming. She couldn't believe he actually thought she wanted him dead! That dense fool! As the initial anger settled down, she studied his reaction. She saw the shock run across his face and she automatically softened.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just, I hate hearing you say that. I hate it when you say you want to die. I just-"

Smiling, the boy cut off the rest of her apology.

"It's alright. I guess I forgot what it was like to have someone care for you."

She listened carefully and returned his smile. Moments pasted before he broke the silence.

"So what was that wish you were talking about?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah!! See, when I was little, my mom said that if you made a wish under a full moon, it'd come true."

"Ah. So what did you wish for?"

At this, the girl grinned and said,

"I wished that people would find the truth about your family's murder. I wished, with all my heart, that you'd be given a second chance and that you'd find love; wherever that may be. And I wished that you'll be happy, one way or the other. I also wished you'd find out I love you."

Simply put, the boy was touched. He took the girl's hand in his and smiled genuinely.

"I think I'll make a wish too."

He closed his eyes and raised his head to the sky.

"I wish that the girl beside me, the one I love, will forever be with me; wherever we go, may we be together."

"Yeah, and we'll get over every obstacle. Together!!"

And so, the boy and the girl lived their life together. And not once, did they ever doubt their love.
