Hi all!

I'm not sure how many readers I have left who are interested in this story, but I thought it couldn't hurt to reach out! I know it's been literal years since I've posted on this novel, but it has been in the works all this whole time (I've written EIGHT versions of this book. EIGHT!). Unfortunately, it was more on the back burner while I got my Masters in Creative Writing and wrote a different book. Which brings me to some good news! I've been very lucky to gain an agent from WME for my memoir, and a publisher who scooped it up right away. So my first book, FORMATION, will be coming out early 2019 from Grand Central Publishing (Hachette) and will be the lead title for the company when it's released. Bad news is it's not THIS novel, which I do love and want to get out there, one day.

Through all the re-writing, I have managed to make The Slave of Heaven shorter, more concise, and with a tighter theme. I've managed to drag it from 240k words down to 190k, but its still very long if I'm trying to publish. Admittedly, I am very, very frustrated with this book. I'm at a loss as to what else I can cut. It's been a labor of love that I'm not entirely sure will pay off.

I'm hoping if I have any readers left who are interested, you'll want to read the newest (and in my opinion, best) version of this beast of a book. I'd love to make sure the characters still hold up (poor Alec got booted to Book II. I already miss him), the plot still draws in the reader, and the pace keeps you moving along. And also, what you think might be unnecessary, redundant, or can be put off to Book II.

I can promise that the book is updated with some new themes, changes, and scenes that (hopefully) will make it worth re-reading. Any small comments, support, and/or thoughts will be very deeply appreciated. I have been very supported by the fictionpress community and it's only been because of my readers and fans here that I've believed the story good enough to continue trying. I do apologize for such a long gap, and for years of hoping and trying to get it done sooner but failing to do so.
