I see you in seven days, but they're passing so slowly,

and yet I can still hear you whispering sentiments of undeterred love.

And in this too-long week,

raindrops have been falling on the pavement,

sprinkling two tiny roses

(the ones we planted)

with your tears.

I miss you, Mom.
