Lithium Dream, Lithium Weapon, Lithium Drug:

From atop a pile of gadgets and gizmos,
I see a world rusted with utilities.
Rusted with weapons
And blood
And war.

The product of terrorism,
Product of them
Product of us,
The product of a world police.

Are we really so quick to
Stop terrorism in countries
Who never asked for our help?

But then be so uncaring to
The terrorism in our own country…
Isn't that a wee-bit hypocritical?

Hate me all you want,
Call me un-American,
Call me unpatriotic,
Because you know what?
It's true.
I'm not the America we have become.

I am the America by the people,
For the people,
With true freedoms,
Not limited privileges.

I am the America by the people,
For the people,
With true justice,
Not prioritized internment.

I am the America by the people,
For the people,
With full truth,
And not the half lies of a people
And a government
And a world
So foolish as to put themselves above everyone else,
When we all are in this muddy trench
We call progress.

If I seem mad,
It's because I am.
I am so truly fed up
With the whines and rants
Of a nation which willingly
Jumped on board,
Clouded by a mechanical dream,
A mechanical promise unfulfilled.

The question though, isn't why I am I mad,
The question is, why isn't everyone?

Why do we call our selves the greatest
Nation in the world
When we settle with 75% on this test
We call politics?

25 % of the world's pollution,
Are you kidding me!?

Well, a least we're better than them…whoever they are…
