"Um, I can explain? But how did you even know? I didn't bite you yet!" she screamed right back.

"Yet?! You planned on biting me?! Wow, you think you know a person!" Matt said running his fingers through his hair.

"You still didn't answer my question. How did you know? Better yet, what are you?" Bailey asked, eyes dark with anger.

"You really want to know? Fine, I could tell by your scent. I'm not human either, more like...half human. Half wolf." his secret now exposed.

"Wow. That's something else. Who would have thought out of all the people in the place we would have ended up together? Why couldn't you tell in the club" thoughts tumbling from Bailey's mouth.

"It certainly is something. I guess the alcohol in the club messed up my sense of smell. Bailey, I know that your a bloodsucker and I'm a wolf boy, but....do you think that you'd....maybe want to try dating?" Matt said nervously.

"Can we do it? Dating I mean?" Bailey wondered aloud.

"I think we can do anything that we set our minds to." he smiled.

"Alright. We'll try it. But Matt? I really am thirsty. It's actually hurting me. Would you mind if I...?" she said softly.

"Um, well, I guess a little won't hurt." he answered, voice cracking with nerves. "Why don't we go to my room? It will be more comfortable for us, I think."

"I promise I won't hurt you." Bailey said following him up the stairs to his room. It was navy blue with white and blue bedding; very boyish. She instantly liked it. Matt layed down on the bed and showed his neck. "Go ahead." Climbing on the bed, she sat next to him and put her lips to his. It startled him and he bolted upright.

"I don't want to just sink my teeth in. I wanted you to enjoy it. Sorry if I scared you." she said looking around the room.

"You didn't. I wasn't expecting it though." and he leaned in to kiss her. He quickly repositioned them so she could lay on top of him so she would have an easier bite.

"Your being so good about this." she whispered in his ear, continuing to his neck where his pulse was the strongest. "I'm going to bite now." she breathed against his neck. She opened her mouth allowing her fangs to lengthen and bit down. She heard him intake a breath as she continued to suck on the wound. She then felt his warm hands snake to her waist and pull her closer. Smiling as she had her fill, she retracted her fangs and kissed the holes. "Done. Thank you. I feel so much better."

"Your...welcome." he breathed pulling her next to him. "I'm so tired now."

"That's normal. At least that's what I was told." the pale girl stated. "Sleep. It's ok."

"Thanks baby. Goodnight"

"Goodnight." she said sitting up on her elbows to kiss him gently.

"Bailey?" he asked quietly.

"Yes Matt?"

"I want to spend forever with you. Your my mate. The one I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with." he spilled with complete honesty.

"Ok then. Go to sleep, we will discuss this in the morning." Bailey replied watching him drift off to sleep. As he slept she watched him with caution. 'should I be in a relationship now? Should I be with him? This boy who is the farthest thing from what I am, but yet still likes me. He must be dreaming and thats why he said it. Why would he want me? I sucked his blood!' questions jumbled around in her head with no answers. Bailey wanted to get up and leave while he slept, but looking at his peaceful angelic face he kept her there. She silently got up to examine his room, to check out what kind of boy he is. Sifting through his desk she found a crumpled grade check from the last 9 weeks. She giggled quietly-he had all A's; He was smarter than he acted. Pacing to a hutch she found an abundance of trophies all for football, baseball, basketball, and track. 'He must be using his wolf powers for athletics, cheater'. Above the prizes were pictures from his life. His mother and father holding him after a childhood baseball game, His older brother and him on dirt bikes smiling, a prom picture from last year, his varsity football team, him in his baseball uniform. 'I don't think I can take him away his perfect life.' she thought sadness creeping in.

"Bails?" a sleepy voice asked.

"I'm right here, just looking." she answered standing still.

He sat up watching her, "What did you see? You look sad now, please don't be sad." he whispered, getting up to hug her.

"Your life. Matt I can't take all of that away from you. Look at your family, your sports."

"Stop that. Bailey, I love you. Forget about my life. I don't need that stuff like I need you." Matt said, gripping her arms. "Look at me. You don't understand mating do you?"

"No I don't. Explain it to me!" she said pulling away from his tight grip.

Sitting down on the bed he rubbed his face, "Ok. Once we kissed my life changed. It became all about you no matter what you are. You kissed me and I felt it. You are the one for me."

"Matt! I'm a vampire for crying out loud! My family thinks I'm dead cause I was kidnapped and changed, I barely escaped. I have nothing." Bailey cried.

Matt stood up, "Bailey! I don't care about your past, what you do or don't have. I know I have to have you!"

"Your blinded by me! You don't really want me." she said walking away.

Matt lobbed after her, "Would you just stop it! I want to be with you, fangs or not. Please let me."

"What would your family say? You mating with a vampire?"

"I don't care what they say, but they'd be able to tell I really do care and i love you and you'll love me soon." Matt said a smile playing across his lips.

"Ok, we will try it, but I'm not promising I'll make it easy." she gave up, looking into his honest eyes seeing how much she meant to him. "I was going to leave you last night, but when I looked at you sleeping I couldn't. My life is in your hands, it's not something I like."

Matt looked devastated, "Bails I would-will-never hurt you. Trust me on that, if I hurt you, it will hurt me worse. At least I'm told that." Silence. "Well sweetie I'm kind of starving right now, mind if I go eat?"

"Go on. Don't let me stop you." she said stepping away from the open door.

Matt grabbed her hand and led her down with him to the kitchen. "Can I get you anything to ea-"

"Matt just eat." Bailey interrupted.

"I'm being a gentleman like my mom taught me, let me be." he said pushing her away.

"Well it's not working. Never push a girl, especially one that can hurt you." she forced a smile. He shook his floppy hair and began scouring the pantry for something to eat. "I'm gonna go. I need to find a place to stay, it's early enough to go out. I'll see you around." she said running out the front door.

"Stop! Bailey! I need a number to call you, something." Matt said stopping her at the mailbox.

"Dang your fast pup. Fine where's your phone I'll put my cell in."

"Don't call me pup." he growled pulling out his phone.

"Touchy touchy." she said typing in her number. "Bye."

"Bye," Matt said kissing her before she could go. Pulling away she shot off like a rocket down the road towards town.
