Author's note 4 (12-28-18)

Hello to all :)

It's been nearly 10 years since I started writing this story (WOW), and I still find that it's the story of mine that gets the most love and attention. I appreciate that, because this story came from a place of emotion and personal connection, and I'm always glad to see that it makes some connections for other people as well.

It's also a story that still whispers to me from time to time. I recently posted a short (very short) segment called "Fracture" that features Bryan and Paula. I really loved revisiting them, and hope that I can spend some more time on this story and its characters in the near future.

I've moved on to lots of other stories and people, and in many ways feel like a very different writer now. What's still the same is your support and the good vibes I get from people who love those stories and people as much as I do.

Author's note 3: (9-20-15)

Hi all :)

I realize that this is registering as a new chapter, and I'm sorry for the tease. What's actually happened is that I've gone through this story and done a full edit. In the process, some of the text got rearranged and I ended up with a new (but not new in content) chapter. There are now 33 chapters total, instead of 32.

For more info on exactly what I've done in the edit, please see the note I've included with Chapter 1.

Hi everyone :)

It's been a good long while since I've looked at this story, but it's been in my mind and I wanted to let you know that I just posted some "extra content" for it. I rewrote Chapter 23 from Bryan's perspective, mostly because I've been thinking of doing it for a while, but also to try to fix a bit of the rigidness that the first-person perspective created in some places. In general, though, it is less about fixing than a character exercise, and I really enjoyed doing it. So much so that I've decided to make a full story out of it called "Juliet" the details of which can be found in notes inside the story.

Wow. All finished. It's hard to believe after all this time, but there it is, the completed story. I don't know whether to smile or cry. Both probably. I hope you enjoyed it all as much as I did.

I cannot express enough gratitude for all of the reviews and subscriptions I've received for this story. It was more support than I ever expected when I first started. There were honestly times when I did not feel like working and I wouldn't write for a while, and then I'd get a review urging me to HURRY UP and I finally would. Thank you all so much, you've made this process a great experience.

I do intend to start writing again soon. Or at least as soon as I can since I have school starting next week. I'm going to be working on the story on my profile called These Lovely Forms. It's a little younger and definitely very different, but check it out anyway, it could use some loyal fans.
