I was walking home one evening,

The sun shining in my eyes,

The satin sky was diming,

And revealed me a surprise.

This figure wasn't shocking,

And always abided away,

I knew I had it coming,

But was happy anyway.

The sun had soon departed,

But only for this shift,

The temporary twilight,

Will be back soon and swift.

The object smiled through the clouds,

Exposing my way home,

Only keeping me company,

Whenever we're alone.

It stayed with me the whole time,

Like a puppy in fright,

Only this one lit the way,

Like a vivid night light.

I had typed this for my English class. It was yet another wonderful assignment.

It's reason for creation is all Mr. Searles. :)
