A/N: So just when i finally get up the courage to ask out the guy i have liked for a really long time. I chicken out at the last second and compromise saying i will do it over the weekend. I find out later that day, another girl asked him out and he said yes.
A girl sat alone on a porch
She was average, nothing special
Watching the pink sunset
Feeling as a fat tear rolled off of her face
and on to her plain blue dress
Thinking of what had gone wrong
Was it her looks?
Was it her personality?
Was it her shyness?
She had no clue
All she could do was think
There had been a boy
A boy who was perfect
A boy who made her want to dance everytime they passed
She had been to embarrassed to tell him
That he had her heart
And when another girl gave him hers
He dropped it.
Breaking it
Into a million pieces
"Kind sir"
she said through her tears
"I know it was not your will,
But look what has been done."
He replied
"I am so terribly sorry
For you see
I would have gladly held it for you
And given mine in return
But now i am with someone else
and we hold each others."
"I see"
The girl rebuttled
She ran to her home
And sat on her back porch crying
Clutching on to the flower she had plucked
From the peach tree in her yard
To remind her that there was still beauty
Despite her feelings
She dropped the flower and stood up
Clearly there was still beauty
However
It was clearly not meant for her to enjoy
