A/N: I'm happy. It's been awhile since I have written anything meaningful. This song is meaningful.. even though does not have anything to do with my life, or, lack there of? lol. I'm just glad I am out of writer's block...

Daisy (Young Love)

I was young,
I was around ten...
I can barely remember, that time then.
Lived out west,
Without any care...
Soaking up life, in all that country air.

There was a girl,
Lived across the street,
I was way too shy,
She was way too sweet.
It became spring,
And all the flowers grew.
I saw her in the fields,
This is what she'd do.

Everyday, she gave me a daisy,
I didn't know if I was going crazy,
What was going on? Did she like me?
Hold on, just sit, wait, and see...

I was dumb,
Didn't understand then...
When she told me: "Go to the glen."
Just a fool,
Didn't get the clue...
I really didn't know, what to do.

Well, she was there,
Sitting by the tree.
Her dark brown hair,
Whispered love to me.
She looked at me,
With those big blue eyes.
She handed me a flower,
"Looks like the sunrise".

Everyday, she gave me a daisy,
I didn't know if I was going crazy,
What was going on? Did she like me?
Hold on, just sit, wait, and see...

Life was simple,
All the way back then...
The two of us didn't worry 'bout a thing.
That was then,
Today was the day...
I gave that girl a nice ol' wedding ring.
