Uh, I lied, this is the last chapter.
I love morning afters. Absolutely Love them.
With a capital L.
Yeah.
"You awake, Jay?" No… no I don't wanna get up.
Because you, Seth, are too fucking comfortable.
I mumbled to him anyway, trying to snuggled into him even more.
"I have to get up."
No.
Hell no.
"No."
"Jay."
I'm prepared to whine.
"No."
"Jay. Now."
"Why?"
"Because I said so."
That was not the right thing to say.
I finally got up, glaring at him as I did so.
He flinched.
Yes!
Sleep now, yes?
"Look, I have to get back to Michigan."
No.
"No."
Never ever ever.
Ever.
"Jay, I'm not arguing with you about this. You saw you're sister, we have to go."
"Why?" Again, I planned to whine. A lot.
Mm. Seth was naked. Yummy.
"Because I have to get home. There are things I have to do." Seth made a move to get off the bed, but I wasn't going to have any of that.
You know, there's been an idea running around my head. Weird, right? But if you think about it, it's kind of reasonable.
"Is this about Bailey and her brother." Seth froze, me grabbing onto his arm to keep in from getting up.
Hah! Take that, teachers that will not be named, that were wanting to put me in special ed classes.
Wow, I seriously just made myself a little depressed.
"No." He finally answered, but I knew it was a lie, and I'm sure he knew it too.
That I knew, I mean.
Wait, that he knew that I knew. I think.
"What's wrong with Blue's friends?" Definitely not mine. I think I'd be dead in less than a week with them.
"Nothing."
"Was it because Devin was hitting on me?" I really need to learn to keep my mouth shut.
Seth's pissed.
No, beyond pissed.
Actually, I couldn't tell, because I was till behind him, and he wasn't saying anything.
"What?" Never mind.
"Nothing," I said quickly, hoping he'd forget. Again, I didn't want to learn about Seth's jealously first hand. He's a demon. Apparently demons are strong.
And pissy, but that's besides the point.
"When?" Seth all but growled. Damn, I wished he would look at me.
Sort of made me wish I was a cat again.
Can cats be gay, or have I went over that before?
Because if I did, I don't remember the outcome.
All I know is that I probably wouldn't even care if Seth got jealous, cause then he could be all nice and territorial and fight for me.
And I wouldn't have to worry about something getting broken, or, gasp, murdered.
Wait, cat's can kill other cats, right?Well, if they had claws, and teeth, I guess.
Seth's big, so maybe he could suffocate him with a big furry body? Why the hell am I still going on with this scenario?
"Jay!" Seth got my attention, finally turning around.
I sat back, a little surprised at the angry look in his eyes.
"What?" I asked, bunching up the blankets around me. It be nice if there were some couch cushions and chairs, maybe a table in the middle of the room, so then I could make a fort.
"Are you listening?" Seth asked angrily.
"Yes?"
No.
NO! Not this no crap again. dammit. It's just pissing me off because it's not working. Seth never listens.
"God dammit Jay, answer me."
"What?" He'd never asked a question, I couldn't see why he was getting pissed.
"When?" I blinked.
"When what?"
"When did he hit on you?"
"When did who hit on who?"
"What?" That was me. There person asking who, was Blue.
Okay, what the hell.
"Oh my god, get some clothes on!" Blue covered her eyes, turning away from the bed, while Bailey stared on from behind her.
What. The. hell.
"What are you doing in here?" I'm trying my hardest not to panic.
Thank god for blankets.
Ha! Seth doesn't have any!
No! They saw Seth naked!
"So you are sleeping with him!" Bailey exclaimed with a smirk. It was probably Blue who told her in the first place about anything.
Or she eavesdropped. I wouldn't past her.
Bailey's the kind of girl you'd expect to break into some gay guy's house and set up cameras.
Why the hell do I let Blue hang out with her?
…Because she takes Blue off my hands and I don't' have to deal with her. Hm…
Anyway, back to the main point.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Blue peeked over at me, before looking away.
"Get clothes on." I didn't see what the matter was. All she saw was my top half.
"Turn around." I told Bailey.
Blue thought I was talking to her.
So she turned, and then kept on turning when she found we hadn't moved.
Bailey just raised an eyebrow, until I made motions with my hand, before she finally looked away.
Oh god, I can't find my underwear.
Or my shirt or pants for that matter.
Maybe it's because their still in the bathroom.
After I got them and dressed, Seth as well, I asked again.
"How the fuck did you get in here?"
Okay, a little more rude than the first time.
"Me." Devin walked in through the open hotel door, his hand raised, and I saw a card key in it.
"Turns out he can be pretty persuasive with the ladies. Who knew?" Blue shrugged, getting a swat on the head from Devin.
Ladies? Like, front desk of the hotel/motel ladies?
"How did you find out I was here?" I might not look it, but I'm pissed. Kind of. More curious than anything.
Like a cat.
With claws.
Okay, random.
"Bailey swiped the card from you're pocket. It had the hotel and room number on it."
Should have known.
Bailey grinned.
"When will you ever learn? You can't hide things from me."
I'm sort of scared of Blue's friend now.
Wouldn't be surprised if she followed us all the way up to Michigan, camera in hand.
Ugh. I don't want to think about it. It's gonna give me nightmares.
"So, you and 'Sven, huh?"
I'm getting tired of this.
"It's cause of dad, okay? I thought he'd be here." And I wasn't ready to come out of the closest yet.
How did they ever come up with that, come out of the closet?
Does it have something to do with skeletons in a closet? And why does it have to be closet? Why can't it be wardrobe, or under the bed, or something?
"Jay, pay attention." Blue was standing in front of me, snapping her fingers in my face.
"What?"
"Dad's here." Oh, god.
"You're shitting me, right?"
Here?
Did he walk in on me and Seth?
"No, not here here. Home here."
"Then don't say here if he's home." Oh son of a bitch. Don't scare me like that.
"Well I'm sorry that I thought you knew I meant home when I said here. Why the hell would he be here?"
"Well I'm sorry that I didn't think of home-"
"Would you two shut up?" The other's were staring at us, as if Blue was crazy.
I don't blame them. I think she is too.
After my bout of denial, I figure I'd ask why Seth was glaring at Devin.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked, and everyone stared at Seth this time.
And he just glared at Devin.
I think he was still caught up in that whole hitting on me thing. At least I didn't tell him that Devin molested me. Almost.
Or would he take it the same way?
I wonder if we can order room service?
Nah, a friend of mine got sick real bad on vacation after drinking the orange juice.
Better not order anything then.
…Do you think they'd have hamburgers?
Ice cream?
"Does he know?" I heard from Bailey, so I turned to her to see her looking at me.
"If there's ice cream?"
"I'm not talking to you." She responded. Ouch, my pride.
"Yeah." Seth answered, looking at me, before going back to staring at Devin.
"Well, I guess that'll make things easier," Devin said, smiling and walking farther into the room, after shutting the door.
"Wait, how does he know?" Blue asked, pointing at me.
What do I know?
"What?" They ignored me.
"He's known for a while." Seth answered.
"Known what?" Still ignored.
"When?" Blue kept asking.
"When what?" I must be talking to myself or something.
"A little after I met him, a couple of weeks ago."
This is pissing me off.
"How'd he find out?" Devin butted in when I was about to ask what they were talking about again.
You know what? Fine. I'm not going to even ask anymore.
"I told him."
"Fucking told me what?" I'm about to start duct taping people's mouths if they're not going to give me an answer anyway.
Seth finally looked at me. "Of what I am." …
"What are you?" I had no idea what he was talking about.
"You said you told him!" Blue accused, sticking her finger at Seth now.
"That I'm a demon?"
…
…
…
"I thought that was supposed to be a secret?" None of them even looked surprised.
"They are too." Seth nodded his head to the others.
"Blue is not a demon!" He could he even say something like that?
"No, Bailey and Devin."Oh. That's, better, I suppose.
Wait.
Wait.
No.
Bailey's a demon?
So that means… Blue's hanging out with a demon?
And knows that she's a demon?
How long?
"Unlike most demons, we're actually a certain type." Bailey started to explain. "We're-"
Seth cut her off. "Sex demons."
I was going to ignore the fact that my little sister had a sex demon as a best friend. For now.
"So, what, you're like, an incubus?"
Seth sighed.
"Succubus." He corrected.
"Oh…"
I glared at Blue.
"How long have you known?" I asked her, pointing at her friend.
"About Bailey? A few years."
Someone's about to die.
"And before you freak out, her bloods like, really diluted, so I'm not attracted to her or anything." The two girls looked at each other, before shivering disgustedly in unison.
Weird, but it was almost enough to make me feel a little better.
"So then why don't you like them?" I turned to Seth, he sighed again, before glaring at Devin, who smiled back.
"Because, no matter how diluted their blood is, it can let them bypass the mating bond." I raised an eyebrow. There was no way he was expecting me to know what the hell he meant. "It means that there are no repercussions if you fuck them, even if you're mated to another."
Oh. Well, he should have just said that in the first place.
Wait.
"So why don't you like them?" It's not like I was planning on sleeping with either of them.
Ever.
Especially not Devin.
Bailey either, considering she was a girl and all.
And jail bait, but off that topic.
Seth stared at me
I stared back.
And then I got what he was silently implying.
"What, you thought I was going to fuck him or something?" Pardon my French.
Why is it French? Is it because we don't like them?
Wink wink.
"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Seth argued back. Blue looked confused for a moment.
"Wait, you two are mates?"
"Yeah? Didn't you know?"
She shook her head vigorously. "No!"
Bobble.
"Oh. Sorry?"
She looked like she wanted to say more, but I decided to ignore her for Seth, like she did me.
"So what, you thought I was a slut or something?"
That, right there, was the main point that was pissing me off.
"Oh, somebody's in trouble~" I heard from Bailey.
Seth knew it too. He had that look on his face that he knew he was in trouble.
"Well, no-"
"Did you think I'd just go and fuck anyone that I can?!" I crossed hands over my chest, otherwise, I'd be trying to poke him. In the face.
"No-"
"Did you think I'd just cheat on you like some jackass?!"
"No, look, I didn't know, okay? After we mated and all, well, you didn't exactly look like you wanted it." Seth said quickly, in case I interrupted him again, which I was planning on doing.
Ass.
Either way, I waited for him to go on.
"I mean, you didn't really say anything against it, but you couldn't have accepted it that easily, could you of?"
Well, I didn't really put much thought into it, though that wasn't surprising, for me.
But it's not like I hated it. I mean, hey, free great sex for someone forever? Who wouldn't want that?
"But what makes you think I'd cheat on you?" Especially since I had free great sex whenever I wanted?
"I don't know. It's just… I mean fuck!" I jumped in surprise. "The first fucking demons you meet after me, and they're sex demons."
I think he forget about Greggy, but I decided not to bring that up.
"But what about Greggy-ory?" Sorry, I lied.
He glared.
And ignored me.
Bleh on you!
"Fuck." He muttered, and all but stomped to the bathroom.
Did I mention he only had a towel on?
Wow, I've never been more turned on by a guy's back.
"Um…" Blue got my attention. "So, what now?"
I shrugged.
"What do you mean?"
"Are you going to go back with Seth?" I feel stupid for even trying to hide that he was Seth.
"Not like I have a choice."
"Dad's going to be mad, you know." She stated, well, as the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.
"Just don't tell him? It's not like he has to know."
"He's going to start wondering when you don't come home. And you know that he's going to be curious and try to track you down or something if you don't call him."
Okay, you know what?
"Fine, tell him." She frowned.
"He'll kick you out."
"Nothing else I can think of." I told her, watching as Seth came out of the bathroom, fully dressed.
Damn.
"I guess he'll leave you alone then. There's nothing you can do about this." She motioned between me and Seth, who looked at her curiously.
"Hopefully." I rolled my eyes. Maybe he'll try to send me to a straight camp?
I only bring that up because I'm kind of curious on what goes on there.
Should look that up sometime…
"So I'm not going to see you again?" Blue looked at me tearfully.
Oh god, I hate it when she cries.
Despite my manly manliness, it makes me want to cry to. It's like a chain reaction.
"You can visit… Seth will let you visit." I looked at him, his eyebrow cocked. "See? He'll let you."
"Yeah…" She looked away, but she didn't seem like she was about to burst out in tears. I could tell, because I wasn't about to either.
"Aw…"
You know that someone that I was thinking about killing?
Yeah, it's gonna be Bailey.
"I guess I'll figure out some way to tell him." Blue said dejectedly. Aw. I don't want her to have to go through that with dad.
It's just, I don't want to have to go through that with dad even more.
I'm the one who he's going to kill, anyway. He might go after Seth, too, but Sethykins is a big, strong, man.
Dad's a nerd.
Except not as cute.
Oh…
Uh…
Ugh…
I think I'm about to puke.
NYUK NYUK NYUK!!!
A lot of conversation in this one, huh.
Ha, I was looking over this and I spelled dammit two different ways. Fixed that though.
LAST CHAPTER EVER!!!
Not really. There's a sequel coming out.
I'm so sorry it took me five months to finish this short story, while it took me about one month for the original Dreaming of Demons, which was more than twice as long as this.
:/
The sequel is Dreaming of Demon Babies, by Moi, (me… (babby)). I'm not sure when I'll have it up, possibly by the end of the month.
Though, I may actually put it off so I can work on Music of the Demons, and Ocean Storms. I meant to work on them a while ago, but kind of lost my motivation.
(For this one, too, which is why it took so long, but then I started reading a certain story that was fan fiction. It was badly written, but I just couldn't stop reading. (it wasn't even on this site, either, though I guess that doesn't matter, huh?))
Reviews, please?
