Daniel was frantic. He hadn't heard from or seen Travis since Sunday, and it was now Friday afternoon. He paced up and down, trying to figure out how he could find him. He had called directory assistance, and had them list every single number for Davis in the city. He'd called every one of them from the payphone down the road, but either Travis's home number was unlisted, or whoever answered didn't want to tell him that he lived there. He'd called the school Travis had gone to, but they refused to give out personal information. He'd tried Travis's cell number about a hundred times, but the phone stayed off. No-one in the band knew where the boy lived either.

"Shit. Shit. Shit!" He wanted to pull the hair out of his head. This wasn't like Travis. He always showed up. He was still cursing at himself for not being like normal people and having a phone installed, pacing up and down, when the doorbell rang. He hurled himself over the couch and lunged for the door. Travis never came in the front door, but at the moment he didn't even think about it.

His face fell when he found Rafe on his doorstep. "Oh. It's you."

Rafe looked at him with a puzzled expression on his face. "Listen man, I just got the weirdest phone call from Travis."

Daniel grabbed his friend and dragged him into the house. "What did he say? Where is he?"

"I don't know what's going on, but the kid was crying." Rafe pulled a piece of paper out of his jacket pocket and handed it to Daniel. "He gave me this address and told me to tell you to come and get him. What's going on?"

"We don't have time! We're taking your car and you're coming with me." Daniel practically raced out the door, followed by Rafe who had the presence of mind to at least lock the door behind him.

Daniel kept on urging Rafe to go faster. The twenty minute drive to the address Travis had given Rafe felt like an eternity to the man. Daniel jumped out of the car before his friend had even come to a complete stop, and ran to the door where he leaned on the bell until a middle aged woman opened the door just as Rafe reached his side.

"Is Travis here?"

"And who might you be?" The woman asked, trying to look down her nose at him, even though he was more than a head taller than her. At any other time, Daniel would've found her amusing, but not today.

"I'm Daniel. Is he here?"

"Oh!" The woman said, a sneer of disgust on her lips. "The so-called boyfriend. Well, he doesn't want to see you anymore." She started to close the door, but Daniel stepped up and blocked it with his shoulder.

"Look, lady ..." Rafe started, but Daniel had had enough and he pushed past her into the house.

"Travis! Travis, are you here?"

Travis had heard the bell, but didn't pay any attention to what was going on downstairs. For a moment he thought he was hallucinating when he heard Daniel yelling his name. He froze for a second before scrambling off his bed and rushing out of his room.

"Daniel!"

Daniel reached him as soon as he got to the foot of the staircase and caught Travis as he jumped into the bigger man's arms.

"Oh god, baby. I was so scared. I didn't know where to find you. What the hell happened?"

Travis was crying so hard that he couldn't get a word out. He just wrapped his arms and legs around Daniel's body and held on for dear life.

His father and brothers found them like that a moment later when they came into the foyer from the living room where they'd been watching television until they heard the commotion.

"What the hell is this!?" Travis's dad's voice boomed through the room.

Daniel slowly turned, letting Travis slide down his body and pushing the boy behind him. He looked from the red-faced man to his two sons flanking him. "I've come to fetch Travis. He's going home with me."

"The hell you say!" This came from James. "We've all seen what you've done to our brother."

Daniel's voice was dangerously low and calm. "What I've done? What about you lot? You don't even know he's alive half the time! He's been staying with me at least once a week for a year and a half now. He's at my house every single day and none of you ever even noticed he wasn't here. None of you even bothered to come to the school play and he was the fucking lead! I was the only one at his graduation!" Daniel took a deep breath and pointed at Travis's mother. "You! You wouldn't know how to be his mother and care for him if someone hit you over the head with a parenting book. You don't fucking deserve him. The whole lot of you are pathetic. At least I love him."

Travis's dad had found his voice again. "My son's a minor, that means I say what he does! And you! How old are you, messing around with a kid like a bloody paedophile!"

"He's not a fucking minor anymore! Travis turned eighteen yesterday and I'd bet not one of you even remembered. He's coming with me. I'm not leaving him with you lot."

Daniel turned around to face Travis, ignoring the angry voices coming from behind him. He was almost surprised that no-one had tried to hit him yet, but he wasn't complaining. At least he had Rafe to back him up if things turned ugly.

"Angel, do you want to get some stuff from your room before we leave?"

Travis nodded and then turned around, heading back up the stairs.

Rafe, who'd been watching the whole scene play out with a mixture of shock and disgust, watched as the two older Davis boys stepped forward as soon as Daniel's back was turned.

"You might want to reconsider." His voice was friendly, but the way he bared his teeth at them made the two falter in their steps. Something about the tattooed man just screamed psychopathic mad-man.

"What are you gonna do?" James, who'd taken a quick look around him as though to do a headcount of who was probably gonna be willing to back him up, decided to risk being smart.

"Me?" Rafe did his best to sound innocent, not something that really went with the whole 'I'll rip off your arm and hit you with the bloody side' look. He shook his head. "Nothing today, but I know who you are, all my clients at the parlour will know who you are by the end of the week. I also know a guy named Susie who's about twice my size with a dick like a horse's whose looking for something pretty like you to squeal for him. I'll be sure to tell him about you."

James paled and swallowed audibly and his entire family took a few discreet steps away from him, as though trying to separate themselves from someone who they just heard being condemned to death.

Rafe gave him a wide smile and a wink before turning away to look at the stairs where Travis was just coming down.

His family were eerily quiet when Travis came back with a bag holding a few personal items he wanted to keep. He grabbed onto Daniel again as soon as he reached the older man.

"We can go now." Travis spoke softly. He was still in shock. He'd hoped and prayed that Daniel would come for him, but he still couldn't really believe that he was actually here.

His dad grabbed onto his arm and spun him around as soon as they started heading for the door.

"You're not taking my son anywhere!"

Daniel turned around slowly and looked in the man's face and then down to where his hand was holding onto Travis's arm.

He stepped forward and spoke clearly and calmly. "Get your hands the fuck off my property."

"Your property! What kind of man claims to love someone and then calls them property?" Travis's mom spoke up, her voice high.

Daniel looked from one member of the family to the next before he spoke again. "Travis belongs to me. He's my lover and my property." He hissed out the last word. "If you don't believe me, take a look at his ass and see who's name is tattooed there."

Travis smiled for the first time in days. "I'm sorry dad. But Daniel's right. I am his property. That's all I've ever wanted; to belong to someone. Everything I am belongs to him. My heart, my soul, my body, my whole damn life." He twisted his arm out of his father's grip and reached up for Daniel, pulling his head down for a quick, hard kiss. "Come on baby, let's go home."

The Davis family watched in shocked silence as Travis took his lover's hand and led him out of the house, ready to go to the one place where he mattered with the man who owned him.

Dorome:Glad you liked it. Hope this meets expectations.

Suicidal Muffin-chan:I'm the one creating them and I just want to hurt them – badly! Thought about letting them get a few punches in, but I didn't want to lower Daniel and Rafe down to that mud-pit with them.

Snuffdiva:I hate having to end this, but I thought this was a good place. So glad you stuck around for the boys!

Hide-and-Go-Seek:You can stop twitching! Hope you like the ending.

Keela1221:It sucks having to say goodbye to the boys, but Rafe's little threat up there made me consider bringing him back, so maybe we'll get some updates on how they're doing!
