Justice

There was one constant I thought I knew

Which through the Earth did prevail

Which was there in skies and seas of blue

And even amongst humans did not ail

I thought I knew justice

That code of right and wrong

That, applied in theory and in practice

Has been valued for so long

But where is justice for these children

Life stolen in an instant

By their own mothers, brethren

Who would harm an infant?

What justice is this, that would allow

One to pluck the life from a child

They are hurting, crying now

As they are banished to the wild

Someday, I may find justice here

Justice to relieve them of their quaking fear.
