Chapter One

The sky went dark as a terrible storm was unleashed. People screamed as they ran from the strange lightning. If they were hit, it was the end. Zap, zap, zap. Over and over again lives were taken. But then the zapping stopped and all that was heard was BEEP, BEEP, BEEP! BEEP, BEEP, BEEP! BEEP,BEEP, BEEP!

Suki sat up in a jolt. She had been having such strange but fasinating dreams lately. Her alarm clock always woke before she could figure out what exactly was going on.

"Breakfast is ready!" her father yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"I'll be right there!" she yelled back, scrambling out of bed to get dressed. She quickly braided her hair and ran down the stairs.

"What time is it?" she asked as she began to eat her omelet.

"You need to leave in ten minutes." her father said, sipping his coffee.

"What time will you be home from work today?"

"Same time as always, honey."

"Can I invite a friend over for dinner?"

"Sure, I don't see why not."

"Thank you daddy." she said as she kissed his cheek before putting her dishes in the sink.

"See you when you get home, love you!"

"Love you too!" he called as she ran out the door.

Suki stood at the crosswalk, waiting for the light to change. She twirled her finger in the end of her long braid.

"Suki!" a girl with black hair called, waving as she ran toward her.

"Hey, Mikomi!" Suki waved back with a smile.

When they were next to each other Mikomi asked, "So, what did your dad say?"

"He said, yea."

"Did you ask about me staying the night? My parents said it would be OK."

"Oh no, I forgot. Sorry..."

"It's ok. Just ask when your dad gets home."

"Alright." Suki said when the light changed.

They crossed the street, carrying on in conversation. Suki looked away for a brief second and her eyes locked on a girl with short purple hair, walking the opposite direction. She wore the black and red uniform of the school that had corporal punishment, which meant she'd probably gotten in huge trouble at Suki's school.

The girl stared back at her, her eyes had a strange gold tinge. They both had a moment of recognition. They felt a weird connection. All time stopped around them as they stood and stared at each other.

"Suki, come on." Mikomi said as she pulled her arm.

"Huh?" Suki said, snapping out of her trance like state.

"Geez, I know you said you have weird dreams, but zoning out in the middle of the street?"

Suki didn't hear Mikomi talking. Who was that girl? Why did she look so familiar?

Later that day, Mikomi and Suki were hanging out at the local coffee shop after school. They ordered their usual and sat down at a table by the windows. it was raining outside.

"So, what are we making for dinner tonight?" Mikomi asked before taking a sip of coffee.

"I was thinking chicken dumplings." Suki said, staring into the brown ,creamy liquid in her cup.

"Oh, sounds yummy. Do you have everything at home or do we need to do some shopping?"

"I think we have everything." Suki replied as the bells on the door to the shop chimed, signaling someones entry.

Suki looked up to find the girl with purple hair, and once again they were locked in a staring contest.

"Suki?" Mikomi questioned as Suki stood up.

Suki walked over to the girl who was just staring blankly at her and asked, "Don't I know you?"

The girl just blinked and then turned and walked out of the shop.

"Hey wait!" Suki pleaded as the door shut.

"What was with her?' Mikomi wondered coming to Suki's side.

"I swear I know that girl." Suki murmured to herself.

"So, wanna head over to you place?" Mikomi offered.

"Yea, sure." Suki replied before walking out.

Once home they changed out of their school uniforms and began to prepare dinner.

"Something smells good." Suki"s father voiced as he came into the kitchen. The girls had just finished cooking and were now setting the table.

"Welcome home, Dad." Suki declared as she gave him a hug.

"Hello, Nisugimai-san." Mikomi greeted with a slight bow.

"How many times have I told you u don't have to be so formal. You practically lives here." Suki's father laughed. Mikomi just smiled sheepishly and Suki giggled.

Her father thought that dinner was excellent and also agreed to let Mikomi stay the night.

Once up stairs the girl put on their pajamas and made a bed for Mikomi. Suki kept an air mattress and some bedding in her closet for her. They were together more often then not.

That night all of Suki's dreams contained that girl with purple hairand amber eyes. Suki didn't know why but she felt drawn to her. She didn't want anything else out of life but to be with her. The only word she could think to describe this feeling was lust, sexual attraction. She had never taken interest like that in a girl before. She hadn't really yearned for any boys like that either. Sure she found boys cute or hot and had silly crushes, but she never felt obsessively drawn to anyone.

The next morning on the way to school, Suki spotted that girl across the street while waiting for the light to change. She never thought that waiting for that light to go green would ever make her feel so impatient or anxious. After about two minutes, though it felt like hours to Suki, it changed and she started across the street at a faster pace than normal.

"Wait up!" complained, tying to keep up with Suki's quick strides. She ignored her though and only walked faster. The other girl spotted her and then proceeded to get as many people between them as possible. She wouldn't have that though, she was going to talk to her. Tell her how she felt. When the two girls passed each other, Suki grabbed the other girl's arm and they both froze.

Through both their minds flashed the same strange images. They had their hands joined and everything was very hot and cold at the same time. There was light everywhere, purple and silver, and it began swirling together. The the strange silvery purple lighting formed. They felt drawn to each other, a longing feeling to become one.

Suki let go of the other girl's arm when Mikomi grabbed her shoulder.

"What's with you?" she demanded.

Suki didn't answer though. Hers and the girls eyes were locked. Then without a second of warning, the girl grabbed Suki's wrist and pulled her along behind her in the direction Suki had been going.

"Suki!" Mikomi yelled, confused.

The strange purple haired girl dragged in into an alley where no one would see them. The just stared at each other again and then suddenly the girl pressed her lips hard against Suki's. Suki freaked out for a second, her eyes wide, and open her mouth to protest. The girl only slipped in tounge in. Suki closed her eyes and began to kiss the girl back. She didn't know why, but this felt so right. She slipped her arms over the girl's shoulders and the girl grabbed her breasts. Suki moaned as the girl began to suck and nip at her neck.

"Tell me your name." Suki gasped.

"Kaosu, and you?" the girl said as she kissed her again softly.

"Suki, and I think I'm in love with you." Suki answered shyly with a slight blush.

"I feel the same." Kaosu smiled as she brushed her fingers across Suki's darkened cheek.

"I need to be getting to school." Suki stated, her blush deepening.

"Why don't we ditch? My mom is out of town at the moment, so there's no one at my place. We can get to know each other better." Kaosu suggested as she slipped her hand up Suki's skirt.

"OK." Suki almost squeaked in reply. They kissed again before walking off.
