Love At First Glance.
Prologue: Bus Girl.
The bus seat was grimy. The boy pursed his lips, slowly running two arched fingers over the dirty plastic. He brought them up to his lap, laying them flat, before rubbing the black dirt away, leaving his fingers a dull shade of grey.
"Can I sit here?" A voice from above startled him, making him snap his head up so fast he could have sworn he had broken his neck. "Is this seat free?" a girl asked, a smile playing on her pink-painted lips. She had her free hand winded tightly around the overhead pole, securely her standing. Smiling softly, he gestured to the seat next to him, shifting over to make more room.
"Thanks," the girl said, sitting down with relief, dropping her bags on the floor. Pushing her blonde fringe up, she wiped the sweat from her forehead, a colourfully printed scarf winded around her neck.
The boy watched her for a few more moments; his brown eyes stopped from blinking as she took off her scarf, tied her long straight blonde hair in a bun, and pulled her heavy black coat off.
Smiling, she turned to him, offering her hand, a blue ring resting on her finger. "I'm Corinna," she began, her voice louder than before, rising slightly as a truck roared past the open window, filling the already recycled air within the bus with more dirty pollution. "But you can call me Rinna, that's what everyone else does." She bit her lip nervously, blue eyes staring back into his.
"Lucas," the boy said, shaking Corinna's hand. He smiled. She grinned back, her blue eyes sparkling.
He never didn't forget that bus girl.
