Once upon a time, there was a boy

Who couldn't take having no joy

So, with a rope and some knots, he ended his own life

How his family and friends did cry

Wondering how they could have missed the signs

Wishing they had listened when they had had the time

And now he's gone

What's the point of it?

Why did he do it?

People every day in all situations

Would have the answer to give you

No laughing matter is this

A fairytale with a real life twist

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Joy

And all she would ever do was spread her legs

In her sexual pursuits, she had no shame

Being with guys she couldn't even name

That is, until the night that she got raped

And forevermore after, her legs were closed

Death came swiftly, and her it chose

When he, to her head, delivered repeated blows

And now she's gone

What's the point of it?

Why did he do it?

Maybe in some part of the world

Someone understands the pain of a girl

Unknown in her own little world

Sad in a way, it is

This fairytale with a real-life twist

Fairytales don't happen in reality

Not how they're written, anyway

But if you tweak one out of proportion

Fill it with booze and drugs

Sex with men & women

And throw some emo people in the mix

What you get is a fairytale with a real life twist

There are not any happy endings

Not even happy middles or beginnings

What's the point of all of this?

I'm pretty sure I made it

But I can't really be sure what it is

And this fairytale becomes deadening

All together saddening

All of it leading up to

A quick and sudden ending
