July 7th

We all knew it was coming
We just didn't know when
Our comfortable lives were ripped apart
By four abnormal men

It was, at first, a normal day
With people on their way to work
The tubes were packed, the buses full,
The perfect target for the kill

In a fraction of a second, lives were destroyed
And many people killed
Others wounded, stricken with grief
At the thought of this, so brief

Throughout the day that's all we thought
Who? Why? How?
All the city felt the same
How can four blokes take all the blame?

But in the darkness we will find
A light at the end of the tunnel
For a while after, things weren't too exciting
But nothing could stop London Uniting
