Once upon a time

In the middle of a dance floor

I met my knight in fishnet armor.

Disco diamond dreams

Danced across your face

Sweat poured from every pore

I can't remember your line or the place

But you pierced my poor peasant heart

With your silver-tongued promise of my salvation

And the loneliness began to melt away.

But as the drinks, and songs, and twilight faded into day,

and our fingers no longer locked in place,

and you told me it was time to part,

as you drove the final nail into the coffin of my heart,

I realized I would never know your name.
