Seraphim, Angels Ablaze

The Eternal Masqurade

This is my entry for the Review Game's August WCC. Voting begins the second week of August on the WCC thread on the Review Game Forum if you like it :)

"Forever has no meaning when you're living in the moment" -- Ellen Hopkins, author of "Impulse"

A/N: I'm basing this loosely of the prompt and focusing more on 'forever' from the perspective of an omnipresent entity, in this case, it takes the form of the seraphim or angels.

Edit: Yay, it's formated now! Thanks DeeFective :)

skeletons
formed from stardust
and souls
sparked by supernovas

we are seraphim
angels ablaze

flames kiss, cling,
caress bodies born of light
with irises of molten gold
and hair twined with nebulae

we are bound
bound to the world we rule

guardians of celestial gates
stone-faced sentries
held by phoenix wings
and by time, endless time

we float through dynasties
with each blazing breath

their tattoos speak truth, words
imprinted on pages of flesh
driven by the pens of
omnipresence

we are all-knowing
forsaken by verity

death lives
not by any devil's hand
but rather as an advocate
an advocate of life

we are the paradox
holding eternity in place

skeletons
formed from stardust
and souls
sparked by supernovas

we are seraphim
angel's ablaze
