Switching Places
Tonight the world switched places
With some unfamiliar faces
And then laughed at my clothes
Now the starfish light the sky
And the birds go swimming by
It's normal I suppose

Now the owls drink morning dew
As I fall asleep with you
And eat part of the moon
When the robin starts to sing
It must be the end of spring
Winter will be coming soon

The moon will rise the setting sun
When I'm sure I've found the one
And I'll camp out on your lawn
As I search for words I stop to think
The tears will fall every time I blink
And watch the hopeful dawn
